About EJM Dental Studio

Crowding that reappears a decade after childhood braces is one of the most common reasons an adult reopens the orthodontic conversation. The lower front teeth rotate first, floss starts catching, the edges wear unevenly, and the retainer that would have prevented all of it has been in a drawer since university. What most adults want at that point is correction that does not announce itself across a conference table.

EJM Dental Studio leans into that kind of case. Dr. Morse is a Platinum Plus Invisalign provider, a volume tier, and clear aligner therapy sits alongside the practice's cosmetic work rather than being treated as a separate department. Whitening, bonding and ceramic restorations round out that side. The office also runs CEREC, designing and milling a crown in-house so a broken or heavily filled tooth can often be restored in one appointment instead of two. Botox is offered both cosmetically and for TMJ-related muscle pain, which pairs sensibly with a practice that sees a lot of clenchers. Routine exams and hygiene remain part of the mix; this is a general practice with a cosmetic and aligner emphasis, not a boutique that only does veneers.

The studio occupies Suite 401 at 10840 Little Patuxent Parkway, in the Wilde Lake area near Columbia Town Center, walkable from the surrounding office buildings and a short drive from Harper's Choice, Dorsey's Search and Oakland Mills. Read the schedule before you call: Monday and Tuesday run 8am to 5pm, Wednesday is shorter at 9am to 4pm, and Thursday runs 1pm to 6pm, which is the slot to request if mornings are impossible. There is no weekend clinic, so multi-visit restorative work needs planning around a four-day week.

A straight answer on aligners. Invisalign handles crowding, spacing and mild to moderate bite problems well, and results depend almost entirely on wear time, roughly 20 to 22 hours a day, every day. Cases involving significant skeletal discrepancy or severe rotations may still be better served by fixed braces, and a proper consultation should tell you which category you fall into rather than promising aligners for everything. Whitening is enamel-deep only. A CEREC crown, a bonded veneer, the composite in an old repair — none of them react to peroxide, and each holds the shade it was made to, so on a smile that already carries visible restorations the order matters: lighten the natural teeth first, then remake the work that no longer agrees with them.

EJM Dental Studio on Little Patuxent Parkway pairs everyday general dentistry with a cosmetic and clear-aligner focus. Dr. Morse is a Platinum Plus Invisalign provider, and the office runs CEREC so a crown can be designed and milled in one appointment rather than two. Whitening, bonding, ceramic restorations, exams and hygiene are part of the routine, and Botox is offered both cosmetically and for TMJ-related muscle pain. Thursday runs 1pm to 6pm, the practice's only late-finishing day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Platinum Plus Invisalign provider designation mean?
It is a volume tier that Invisalign assigns based on how many cases a dentist treats, not an academic qualification. Practically, it signals that clear aligner therapy is a routine part of the practice rather than an occasional case. Dr. Morse holds that designation. It is still worth asking at the consultation how many cases resembling yours the office has finished, and to see records of comparable crowding treated start to finish.
How many hours a day do aligners need to be worn?
Roughly 20 to 22 hours a day, removed only for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing. Aligners move teeth through steady continuous pressure, so treatment length is driven almost entirely by wear discipline. Skipped days push the finish date back and can force a mid-course correction with new scans. If your routine makes that unrealistic, say so early, because fixed braces may genuinely suit you better.
Is the Thursday evening slot the only late appointment?
Thursday runs 1pm to 6pm and is the latest the practice finishes, so it is the slot to request when mornings are impossible. Monday and Tuesday run 8am to 5pm and Wednesday is shorter, 9am to 4pm, with no weekend clinic. Aligner check-ins are brief and easier to slot in than a crown appointment, so book longer restorative visits further ahead than you think you need to.

The best dental office! All the staff are kind and encouraging. The place itself feels cozy and is beautiful. The dentists and dental hygienists treat you well and truly care about your dental hygiene. Take it from me. This is the best dental office I have ever been to. I am beyond grateful for them and will be sad if I ever have to move away from the area in the future. 10/10 Would Recommend!

I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Morse and Kjiersten! They did such an amazing job with my daughter’s Invisalign treatment, and honestly, the results were way faster than I expected. They’re both so kind and made the whole process easy and pleasant. Also, the studio is really well put together, just a nice place to be.

Dr. Morse is such a kind and caring human and a skilled dentist. I’ve been her patient for many years, and though i have dental anxiety, she and her team always make sure I’m comfortable and taken of—so I keep coming back. From the front desk staff to her dental assistants and hygienists all I feel when I walk through her doors is welcome and when I leave, I pull down the mirror in my car and smile at the great job they have done. Thank you EJM Dental Studio team!

The entire team is amazing at every visit! They handle "Ms. Dental Panic Disorder" (yours truly) calmly and with great understanding. I feel safe and cared for, even when my brain tries to tell me this is scary. If you are just a regular patient, trust me, you will be sure to love Dr. Joel-Morse, her hygienists, and everyone in the office.

The staff are very friendly and professional. The office is very modern. They made a night guard for me on the spot and it has been a Godsend. I may need crown(s) and they have a machine to make crowns at their facility. That means not waiting a month and going for another visit which is amazing. I feel very confident that I am receiving the best possible care!

Five-star experience at EJM Dental in Columbia :) I’m finishing my Invisalign journey and I am so pleased with the results! The staff is one of the friendliest and most welcoming I’ve encountered. The office is exceptionally clean and inviting which is important for any health care business. I would absolutely come here for all my dental needs if they accepted my insurance. Highly recommended for anyone considering Invisalign!
