About El Paso Endodontics: Samuel J. Angulo, DDS, MS

Based on Remcon Circle in the Northwest El Paso area of El Paso, Texas, El Paso Endodontics: Samuel J. Angulo, DDS, MS is a dental practice serving the area. Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Endodontic treatment concerns the nerve and pulp inside the tooth, most commonly through root canal treatment and retreatment of a previously treated tooth. Endodontists take on the more complex cases, including teeth with unusual root anatomy or a root canal that did not fully resolve.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward. Best ever with the care, explanation, service..Everything! I have had several different root canals from unfortunate bad fillings, Years ago. Yet this place was the Best I have had in years. Was so happy of the care he took of the entire procedure. Everyone there was kind. A must go to if you want someone who cares.

I absolutely hate dentists. So I wasn't exactly ecstatic when I was told I would need a root canal. However, this Dr. made me feel completely at ease. From the beginning, the front staff are incredibly friendly and warm! The Doctor himself was very professional and told me exactly what to expect from the procedure and made sure I was completely aware of what was going on. Highly recommend !

The entire experience was very professional and impressive. Unlike most physicians and dentists who start new patients out with a clip board and several pages of photocopied materials, I was able to provide all demographic and clinical information via a secure online portal. I was seen promptly and the procedure took the estimated amount of time. Most important, Dr. Angulo was able to perform a difficult procedure that a very capable general dentist was unable to complete. He explained everything to me after the procedure. First class all the way!!!

Can a dental visit actually be a pleasant experience? Yes, it can at this office! I went in for a root canal (yes, a root canal) and I can honestly say that I walked out with a smile on my face. The ambience of the office is quiet, cozy, and extremely friendly! Dr. Angulo is extremely personable; we had a great conversation prior to my procedure which really put me at ease. He explained everything that needed to be done, why, and what to expect. I truly feel that he and his staff not only pay close attention in the care of their patients, but they seem to GENUINELY care. If I could give them 20 stars, I would, they are that awesome!
