About Emergency Dentist 24/7 Birmingham

Emergency Dentist 24/7 Birmingham operates from a 7th Avenue South office in Five Points South, set up specifically around walk-in dental emergencies rather than routine recall visits. The doors are aimed at the cracked tooth on a Saturday afternoon, the throbbing molar that won't wait until Tuesday, and the lost filling that's exposing nerve. If you've ever called your regular dentist and been told the next opening is three weeks out, this kind of clinic exists for exactly that gap.

Cavity-related work often comes through urgently — a filling that fell out, decay that broke through to nerve, or a tooth that started aching at 2 a.m. The team handles same-day composite fillings, temporary restorations to stabilize a tooth until permanent work can be placed, and conservative decay treatment that prioritizes saving the tooth. Other services include emergency extractions, broken-crown re-cementing, abscess management, and pain workups for patients who can't pinpoint why a tooth is bothering them. After the urgent visit, the clinic can either continue care or coordinate with a regular dentist for the permanent restoration.

If you woke up with tooth pain that's getting worse through the day and your regular dentist can't fit you in until next week, a same-day urgent visit here will at least stabilize the immediate problem.

Patients searching for preventive and restorative dentist in Birmingham, family dentist in Birmingham, or general dentistry in Birmingham, AL who urgently need same-day work often land at clinics like this when timing matters more than picking a long-term primary dentist. Walk-ins are accepted but a phone call ahead helps the team prep. For Birmingham metro patients dealing with a dental problem that genuinely cannot wait, this Five Points South emergency clinic belongs on the short list of urgent options. If you've had recent medical changes — new medications, recent surgery, ongoing conditions — flagging them at intake matters more than patients usually expect, since several common drugs interact with routine dental work. If you're switching from a chain practice and you've never had a long-term solo or small-group dentist before, the visit pace tends to feel different — slower, more conversational, and often more thorough than the timed-slot model.

Emergency Dentist 24/7 Birmingham operates from a Five Points South office, set up around walk-in dental emergencies — same-day fillings, broken-tooth repair, and acute pain visits when your regular dentist can't fit you in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Emergency Dentist 24/7 Birmingham located in Birmingham?
Emergency Dentist 24/7 Birmingham is on 7th Avenue South in the Five Points South area of Birmingham, Alabama (35233).
What services does Emergency Dentist 24/7 Birmingham offer?
Listed services at Emergency Dentist 24/7 Birmingham include Cosmetic Dentistry, Root Canal Treatment, Emergency Dentistry, Dental Crowns and Dental Bridges. The full list is shown on this page.
Is a dental abscess an emergency?
Yes. An abscess is an infection with a pocket of pus, and the risk is that it spreads into the jaw, neck, or airway. Facial swelling, fever, or difficulty swallowing means it should be treated as urgent rather than something to monitor at home.
What is the difference between a crown and a veneer?
A crown covers the entire tooth and is a restorative treatment for a tooth that is structurally compromised. A veneer covers only the front surface and is primarily cosmetic. Which one applies depends on how much sound tooth is left.
When do you actually need a crown instead of a filling?
A crown is used when too much of the tooth is missing for a filling to hold reliably — after a large fracture, extensive decay, or root canal treatment. The crown covers the whole tooth and takes the biting force off the weakened structure.
How long does a dental bridge last?
Many last around a decade or more, and the main threat is decay or gum disease affecting the supporting teeth rather than the bridge itself failing. Cleaning underneath it properly is what makes the difference.

I wish I can give them negative stars! Believe me, this is not a place for urgency, forget about emergency! I am in so EXTREME PAIN and they keep me waiting for more than an hour! Turns out the students are late from lunch, they start whenever they are COMFORTABLE , not when it's NEEDED. Seriously!! Just don't Name it an Emergency Center

I hate that you can’t tell what’s real anymore and what is a scam. I hung up after they asked for money over the phone. The number goes to a call center somewhere not in Birmingham. Maybe it’s legit, but I’m not risking it.
