About Endodontic Partners of Florida

Endodontic Partners of Florida operates on Timuquana Road in the Southwest area of Jacksonville, Florida. Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. What happens if I do not get a root canal?
The infection inside the tooth does not resolve by itself. It typically progresses to an abscess and can spread into surrounding bone, and the tooth is far more likely to be lost. Extraction becomes the alternative once the tooth cannot be saved.
How do I know if I need a root canal?
Common signs are lingering pain after something hot or cold, pain when biting down, a tooth that darkens, or a persistent pimple-like spot on the gum. Diagnosis needs an examination and usually an X-ray, since these can point to other problems too.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

Dr. Britto was phenomenal. I felt no pain through my root canal and the recovery since has been amazing. Nothing but a little soreness. He handled the procedure with care and I would gladly recommend him to anyone. The staff there are so friendly and nice. The whole procedure didn’t take long at all. Dr. Britto’s expertise and knowledge really shine through, he was so gentle even when it came to administering anesthesia for the procedure. He genuinely cares for his patients and it reflects.

I had a great experience with this doctor. He was kind, attentive, and took the time to really listen to my concerns. What stood out the most was how educational he was—he explained everything clearly and made sure I understood my condition and treatment options. I truly felt cared for and respected during my visit. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.

It's safe to say most of us don't love having hard core dental work done... however... the folks at this office do their best to make it less of a nightmare. I appreciated how they explained the process before getting started. I liked the tv to watch in the room. I appreciated they recognized my anxiety and took great care with me. THANK YOU!

Dr. Britto did an amazing job. I needed a root canal that was originally supposed to be a crown. My tooth had been hurting for two weeks. I had one adjustment but it was so tender to the touch after. I was miserable. Dr. Britto assessed and treated me same day. He was super friendly and had a very warm demeanor. He made me feel at ease and because my tooth was so irritated I needed to be numbed even more. He was sure that I couldn’t feel a thing and that I was comfortable. This was my second root canal done my Dr. Britto. My first was 10 years ago. He did a great job then too! I highly recommend Dr Britto!

I will say every doctor is different and every patient is different. Thumbs up Dr. Britto you wld have gotten 5 stars if i was a 5 star reviewer. Thank you for being not the Dr. that people say about those in the dental field. This man was so amazing I didnt even feel bim sticking my gum with the needle.
