I’ve been seeing Dr. Etesse for 10 years. She’s had her hands in my mouth more than my toddler, and unlike my toddler, she usually has a plan. I’ve had a LOT of dental work. My mouth has had more renovations than a beach house in Solana Beach. At this point, I’m surprised there isn’t a tiny contractor in there saying, “Whoever did this last really screwed you.” Before her, going to the dentist felt like being interrogated by someone who already had my skeleton’s testimony. “How often do you floss?” Ma’am, you’re holding the evidence. Let’s not turn a cleaning into a felony. But Dr. Etesse makes the whole experience different. She’s brilliant, gentle, and holistic. She sees the whole person—even when that person arrives with the dental history of a raccoon raised behind a gas station. No lectures. No scare tactics. No looking into my mouth and sighing like I just ruined Thanksgiving. Just thoughtful care from someone I’ve trusted for a decade. And here’s the part where I stop being a smartass for five seconds: after all the work I’ve had done, feeling safe in that chair means everything. She listens. She cares. And she’s taken something I used to dread and made it genuinely comfortable. I now voluntarily lean back while another human operates power tools inside my face. That’s how much I trust this woman. If you’re looking for a dentist who’s excellent at what she does and makes you feel cared for, go see Dr. Etesse. Tell her Drew sent you. If she asks whether Drew’s been flossing, tell her I’ve been lying through the beautiful teeth she gave me 😂

Dr. Etesse and his amazing staff have been taking care of my whole family for years. I just had my twice-yearly cleaning with the rockstar Veronica, who always makes the experience positive and enjoyable. The entire team gives us complete confidence in the health of our teeth and gums. And it helps that Veronica is a self-proclaimed perfectionist (with a little OCD!), so you know she’s going to be beyond thorough! Highly recommend!

Dr. Etesse was great. Her office made a new crown to replace my broken crown right in the office. In the past this process would have taken weeks. Great job. I will definitely keep going to Dr. Etesse for all of my dental needs.

I absolutely recommend coming here. They offer plenty of comfort options to help ease any dental anxiety. The staff is very friendly and professional and you can tell Dr Etesse truly cares and loves what she does. All of the staff makes sure you are comfortable and that your concerns are addressed. Between the staff, the doctor, the beautiful office and the quality work that is done— I would definitely recommend going here!

I just wanted to take the time to post another comment about how impressed I am with Etesse Dentistry. I have been a patient at this office for the last 5-6 years, and I can honestly say the care I receive is second to none!! I drive over three hours to receive care from Dr. Etesse, Dr. Steinberg, and the entire staff. The reason I will continue to do this is because I know that I will be receiving the best care possible. Every time I show up for an appointment, the doctors and the entire staff go above and beyond to ensure that I feel comfortable, relaxed, welcomed, and cared for. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for their patients is evident from the minute you walk through the door. I also greatly appreciate how thoroughly they explain everything in advance. They take the time to go over what needs to be done, explain the treatment step by step, and break down the financial costs and dates so there are no surprises. The service and care I receive, is always above and beyond. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this office and the people who work there. They have earned my trust completely and I will continue to make the three plus hour drive. To me, EXCEPTIONAL CARE is worth the drive!!

If you hate going to the dentist like I do. You'll love this dental practice. Staff are so nice and efficient, you can really trust them. They get the billing right too. (I've never had that before) Dr Etesse and Dr Steinberg are great. Veronica is wonderful (Dental hygienist) Carissa, Miriam, Sam. Are all So nice and happy. So accommodating, love this place.

After my husband broke a tooth, we spent a lot of time researching dentists and asking for recommendations. We were referred to Etesse Dentistry, and from our very first phone call, we knew we had found something special. They were able to get my husband in immediately for an emergency appointment, and we have honestly never been more impressed with a dental office. Every aspect of the patient experience has been thoughtfully designed, and the attention to detail is evident from the moment you walk through the door. Samantha, the office manager, was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly accommodating when scheduling appointments, answering questions, and helping us navigate a treatment plan that initially felt overwhelming. The entire front office team greeted us with kindness and warmth, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. My husband was taken back right away and treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Dr. Etesse took the time to answer every question thoroughly and explain each step of the process, which gave my husband a tremendous sense of comfort and confidence. Ultimately, he needed three crowns and two root canals. For the root canals, Dr. Etesse referred us to an outstanding endodontist, and we were so grateful for that recommendation. Because of some negative dental experiences in the past, my husband was extremely anxious about undergoing this much dental work. However, Dr. Etesse, the hygienists, and the entire team went above and beyond to make him feel calm, supported, and cared for throughout every visit. Thanks to their exceptional care, he successfully completed all of his treatment and no longer fears going to the dentist. It is rare to find a healthcare office where every single person is so dedicated to providing an outstanding patient experience. We are incredibly thankful for the professionalism, compassion, and excellence we received at Etesse Dentistry. We recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for truly exceptional dental care.

Came into the shop seeking alignment for my chopped oral cavity. Thankfully, Samantha and Miriam quickly scheduled me to see the doc. Practice is ambient with refreshing views of Solona Beach staples such as SPBC, Boys and Girls club, and surrounding landscape. Carefully placed plants lighten and breathe life into each room and shows the attention to detail doc takes in patient care. Dental Hygienist, Veronica, has helped me build consistent cleaning habits and skillfully cleaned teeth. Norma is excellent in ortho and now I can smile again! If practice within network, then would recommend as it’s valid.

Absolutely love going to Etesse Holistic Dentistry! Everyone is so warm and welcoming. Dr. Etesse is incredibly knowledgeable, caring and takes the time to make the visit comfortable and stress-free. Samantha at the front desk is so sweet and helpful, and Daniella is the best - she made the experience even better.
