Smyleee Rating
Good
Family Community Clinic is located at 1420 East Washington Street in the Butchertown neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky — a community-oriented clinic in one of Louisville's oldest and most historically distinctive neighborhoods, ZIP 40206. Butchertown is a historic neighborhood in the eastern portion of Louisville's urban core, named for the 19th-century meatpacking and slaughterhouse industry that once dominated the area — German and Irish immigrant workers who staffed the processing plants settled the surrounding residential streets in the 1850s-1880s, creating the neighborhood's distinctive ethnic-heritage character. Today, Butchertown has been transformed into one of Louisville's most dynamic arts, brewery, and creative-industry neighborhoods, anchored by the NuLu (New Louisville) arts corridor along East Market Street, the Against the Grain brewery, the Butchertown Grocery restaurant, and the historic Butchertown Pub. East Washington Street runs parallel to East Market Street one block south, and the 1420 address places Family Community Clinic in the eastern urban core of ZIP 40206 that bridges the Butchertown arts district and the Clifton residential neighborhood. The "Family Community Clinic" name suggests a multi-service community health center offering primary care, dental, and potentially behavioral health services rather than an exclusively dental-focused practice — patients should confirm whether dental services are offered alongside or in addition to primary care at this location.
Family Community Clinic provides health services in Louisville's Butchertown neighborhood that may include dental care for families in the ZIP 40206 community. The "community clinic" model typically prioritizes accessible care for underserved or uninsured patients, often operating on a sliding-fee-scale basis aligned with federal or state community health center designations. Louisville's urban core communities — including Butchertown, Clifton, and the adjacent Germantown and Phoenix Hill neighborhoods — include both gentrifying blocks and persistent lower-income pockets where community clinic access models provide essential healthcare services for residents who lack employer-sponsored coverage. East Washington Street's position in ZIP 40206 provides access from the urban core neighborhoods via TARC bus service and on foot from the dense residential blocks of Clifton and Butchertown.
Patients seeking dental care specifically should contact Family Community Clinic at 1420 East Washington Street directly to confirm the scope of dental services offered and whether appointment-based dental care or same-day access is available. Louisville Metro's community dental resources also include the University of Louisville School of Dentistry clinic on the Health Sciences Campus and various federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) across Jefferson County that offer sliding-fee dental access.

I get bad anxiety anytime I visit the dentist . Today was no different. Tho I was anxious the incredible staff & doctors who took great care of me made the whole experience as pleasant as it could be for me. I could not be more grateful both to and for them for that . Everyone who delt with "patient 12" today was exceptional , truly well done to all of them and thank you sincerely! They took care of me , I have the upmost confidence when I say they'll take care of you as well!
Wonderful people who deserve in return all the good they do for the community
Wonderful people I really appreciated the mom who was checking on me when there was no appointment she took care of me like her son and they fill my tooth I’m happy
Very nice people. And profesional. A place of excellence. Great health opportunity for those cant pay a health insurance
We arrived 15 minutes before closing and they said the doctor was already leaving and the nurse was packing everything. We appreciate this free service, but if they don't see people within the time frame they claim they see people, they need to change the information online and on the brochures, so that we don't waste our time driving with someone who is already not feeling well.
