About Family Dental Care of Spring Valley
Family Dental Care of Spring Valley treats patients of every age under one roof, from a child's first cleaning to a parent's crown or a grandparent's bridge. Rather than splitting kids and adults across separate providers, the same team handles the full run of family dental care in one place, which matters if you'd rather keep a single record than juggle referrals. Emergency appointments are part of the mix too, for the toothache or broken tooth that shows up without warning and can't wait for a scheduled slot.
Routine visits cover cleanings and fillings, the two appointments that keep small decay from turning into a bigger repair. When a tooth has decayed past what a filling can fix, the practice moves to crowns, caps that cover a damaged tooth and restore its shape, or bridges, which anchor a false tooth to the healthy teeth on either side of a gap. Root canal treatment addresses infection inside a tooth's pulp before it spreads, while gum disease treatment targets the tissue and bone that hold teeth in place. Teeth whitening and other cosmetic work sit alongside the everyday maintenance that keeps a smile functional, and extractions remain the option when a tooth can't be saved.
If you've been putting off a chipped tooth or a nagging ache because you didn't want to explain it to a new dentist every time, having fillings, crowns, and emergency care under one roof means fewer handoffs and fewer retellings.
Cost depends on what a visit actually involves — a cleaning and a root canal aren't priced the same way, so the honest answer is a quote once the tooth in question has been looked at. The practice is tagged for affordable dental care, worth confirming against your own coverage before booking anything beyond a first exam. On Two Notch Road in Columbia, the office suits patients who'd rather keep one place for the six-month cleaning and the same place if that visit turns up something that needs a crown or an extraction instead.
Family Dental Care of Spring Valley is a family dental practice on Two Notch Road in Columbia, South Carolina, covering cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, gum disease treatment, and emergency visits for patients of any age.

You and your was staff was very nice. I enjoyed the visit and I will be returning. Thanks for much
Great family practice!
Very understanding and knowledgeable dentistry, highly recommended by a long term patient.
Signing in is quick and easy. The dentist that was assigned to me was very friendly.
I want to start by saying my first appointment at Family Dental Care of Spring Valley went very well. The staff member who took my X-rays was excellent—she made me feel comfortable, talked me through everything, and provided great care. The dentist was also very professional and took the time to present a treatment plan I had never been offered before, including an option for a bridge to replace my missing side tooth. I truly appreciated being made aware of a more affordable alternative to implants, and I was willing to move forward with this treatment plan of 3 fillings and a bridge. However, my experience became frustrating when it came to billing and insurance communication. After my initial visit, I was provided a treatment plan that showed my insurance coverage and my estimated out-of-pocket costs, which I accepted. I scheduled my follow-up appointments based on those costs. I returned for a cleaning, where an additional service was offered during the appointment without it being explained that it was not covered by insurance. I was only informed at checkout that it would be an additional $35 out of pocket. Which was fine it’s just $35, but if you’re offering add on services that cost extra you should inform the patient so that they’re aware. When I returned for my fillings today, I was told I would need to pay $242 instead of the $106 I was originally quoted. I had planned for the $106 based on the treatment plan I was given, so this change was obviously unexpected. When I asked what changed, I was told that the initial treatment plan was based on an old insurance policy (Delta Dental of Virginia from 2019), even though the only insurance information I have ever provided to this office is my current insurance (Delta Dental of Colorado), including my member ID, group number, and insurance card submitted during my new patient intake before I even made it to my first appointment and at my first appointment. I was only reverted to a disclaimer listed at the bottom of the treatment plan stating that insurance benefits are estimates and not guaranteed, which I understand. But it also says fees listed above will be valid for up to 30 days. She only wanted to point out the word estimated. I felt the explanation did not fully address why my current insurance information was not used in the original estimate, especially since that is the only insurance information I ever provided to the office. Ultimately, I felt misled by the initial estimate and frustrated by the lack of clarity around the changes in cost. Overall, I had a very positive experience with the actual clinical staff and I appreciate the care I received, I hope the office can improve communication around insurance verification and treatment cost estimates so patients can plan more accurately and avoid unexpected changes that fall solely on them over someone else’s mishap.
Great people in every position. Very patient and I really like Dr Roswell’s personality. He instantly relaxed me and I trust what he says. I recommended a friend and she totally agrees with me.
Fast, accurate and good care. The only area of improvement is their scheduling in my opinion. Image be me, but I’m getting rescheduled too often. If I respond a few days prior confirming the appointment, they should not change it since I’ve already gotten time off from work.
Going here several years now, which started with finding my dad a dentist. From the very start, very pleasant, staff and doctor. Always sweet and friendly, Dr. Rosell is amazing in dental work and care of patients. My father has dementia, which has got worse over time. Everyone was very caring to his needs and making him fell safe and comfortable. I became a patient as well, and even though my dads health has declined, each one always ask about him. It's been a journey, but the kindness, care, and efficient dental work has been consistent. Very rare nowadays. Wish all places had the service and compassion they do. Always clean and organized, always make sure you are comfortable and calm. We were very blessed to find this little gem. I actually don't dread going to the dentist lol, instead look forward to it. How many people can truly say that about any doctor!?
Good Morning, I can say all staff from the front office to the back were very very professional and kind, and friendly. I am always nervous when I go to the dentist office, but everyone was there made me feel comfortable. And Dr. Rossi is amazing. Thanks to all staff members keep up the amazing job.
