Cleanings, fillings, crowns in City Park West
Smyleee Rating
Very Good
Family Dentistry at City Park runs a general-dentistry practice set up for the everyday work most patients actually need in the City Park West area of Denver. The clinic is built around the day-to-day work — not boutique marketing — and serves adults and kids in one familiar place. The shape of the practice fits patients who want a clear conversation about what's actually needed, with treatment staged around real priorities rather than a one-shot proposal on the first visit. If you're scoping a City Park West dental option, this is a sensible practice to put on a short list of candidates and book a first visit with.
Service coverage spans the standard general-dentistry breadth: routine cleanings and exams, tooth-colored fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, basic extractions, and gum-disease management. The practice also handles professional teeth whitening when patients need them, alongside the routine preventive work. Restorations lean conservative — composite material rather than amalgam — and most needs are kept in-house, with specialty referrals reserved for cases that genuinely call for them rather than offered up front.
If you want a dental home where the same team can handle a kid's first sealant, your six-month checkup, and an unplanned cracked tooth, this is the shape of practice that fits.
Cost positioning sits in the typical Denver general-dentistry range, with most major insurance plans accepted and clear pretreatment estimates before restorative work begins. Patients searching for dentist accepting new patients in Denver, CO, general dentistry in Denver, CO, or family dentist in Denver commonly land at neighborhood practices like this one — generalists rather than narrow specialty offices. It suits families wanting consistency over many years, patients who value predictable scheduling, and anyone who'd rather have one trusted dentist see the same teeth across decades than rotate through a corporate group practice. The City Park West location works for patients already running errands in this part of Denver, and parking and transit access tend to be straightforward for the surrounding blocks.

I had the BEST experience here! My insurance has changed several times over the past 5 years and I’m always going somewhere new so I’ve had a wide variety of experiences both good and bad. Family Dentistry at City Park is hands down the best dental office in Denver. It’s unassuming from the outside but has a cute aesthetic and is very clean inside. I felt comfortable the minute I walked in the door. My hygienist was friendly and gentle with my cleaning. I love that it’s a woman owned independent small business and it feels like the employees enjoy being there. Highly recommend and will be back for my next cleaning.
Miranda is the hygienist with the lightest touch! She was incredibly gentle (and fast!) during the cleaning and the entire visit was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this office for anyone looking for exceptional dental care. The office renovation is almost finished and it looks lovely as well. Great vibes all around.
Find a better place. I've been a patient for over 8 years. For the past 6 years I have driven from Boulder to Denver to support their business. For most of that time I have had health/dental insurance provided by my partner. However, he has been unemployed for several months and we are currently scraping by on the little bit we had stowed away in an HSA. I went in for my only checkup this year and told the front desk that I needed to forego X-Rays for financial reasons (my previous X-Ray 2 years ago had no signs of concern). The front desk then told me that it's Colorado law to get X-Rays every 2 years. So I got the X-Rays, they charged me, and then watched me use the last bit of our money in our HSA before changing my credit card. I got home to look up this X-Ray law, and IT DOESN'T EXIST. There's a recommendation from the ADA for every two years, but no mandate. I am beyond furious. I am the second person in my family who has left this company because of the way they treated us - specifically the front desk. The dentists and hygienists are actually great, which is why I stayed so long.
I have seen both Dr. Richmond and Dr. Miller - they both provide great patient education and make you feel at home. The staff, dental assistants, and hygienists are friendly and professional. Both Dr. Richmond and Miller take the time to get to know you and have created a welcoming environment. I couldn't recommend either of them enough!
I have a fair amount of anxiety when it comes to the dentist, but I was treated so well by Dr. Jaqueline Richmond at Family Dentistry at City Park. When I saw her for a cleaning earlier this year, she sensed my anxiety and asked about it. Today, we had to redo a filling, and she talked me through everything, took things slowly, administered a Novocain shot with zero pain, and made sure that I was good the entire time. I usually leave the dentist after a filling in tears. Not this time.
