About Friendly Dental Group of Ballantyne

Friendly Dental Group of Ballantyne provides dental care on Rea Road in the Piper Glen area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

Comprehensive care generally means a practice can handle most of a patient's dental needs in-house — preventive, restorative, and often minor cosmetic or surgical treatment — reducing how often patients are referred elsewhere for routine work.

A filling repairs a tooth after decay has been cleaned out, most often using tooth-coloured composite resin that is shaped and bonded to blend with the surrounding tooth. It is usually completed in a single appointment and is one of the most routine restorative procedures in dentistry.

Tooth Decay Treatment is also among the treatments offered here, and the practice can explain what it involves and whether it fits your situation at a consultation.

At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. I’m very happy to found an affordable dentist that offers payment plans/accepts my insurance carrier. They were very quick to see me and made me feel very comfortable as a new patient there. I look forward to continuing my dental work through friendly dental group! I’m very thankful for their attentive use of the X-ray machine and trust their opinion over mine. They quoted me a quarter of what a previous dentist quoted me.

I LOVE THEM! Elizebeth the hygienist talked me through my deep cleaning and was very understanding and gave lots of details about the procedure. Dr. Danae does and amazing job as well and very sweet and straightforward! It’s my first time here and I’ll be definitely coming back .

I've been seeing Elizabeth for about 5 years, and she's just as amazing today as when I first met her. She is always patient, professional, and incredibly gentle during every cleaning. She takes the time to make sure you're comfortable and does a thorough job every visit. I truly appreciate her consistent care and attention to detail. Highly recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking for a great dental hygienist!

Went in today to establish care with a new dentist as my current dentist no longer accepted my insurance. I will preface this by saying I take excellent care of my teeth. I know everyone says that, but truly I do. I floss, waterpik, brush DAILY. I walked in today and they did X-rays and their comprehensive exam. The dentist proceeded to tell me I had TWELVE cavities. I’ve never had this many cavities over my 30 year life span. When I mentioned that I know I have staining from coffee but was good at my last dental cleaning he said “nope. I know what I’m doing I can take a picture if you’d like”. They were quick to bring out their $1200 treatment plan and schedule me for the fillings asap. I didn’t feel right in my gut about this so I went to a secondary friendly dental office for a second opinion. This provider looked in my mouth and said not only did I NOT have 12 cavities, but I had the cleanest teeth they’d ever seen. They raved about how they could tell I take exceptional care of my teeth and there were zero cavities to be found. This location seems to be all about profit with the idea that you’ll take their word for it and pay whatever they say you need. I will not be back, nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

staff is super friendly and helpful but i came in as a new patient and feel as if i may have been scammed. i have never had a single cavity and they tried to tell me i have 8 that need to be filled asap. i went to my original family dentist that i have gone to for years prior (for a second opinion) and was told that i just have some staining and no cavities. i saw some other reviews saying similar things so this seems like an ongoing issue. if you are thinking about going to this dentist, just be aware that they may try to get you to have work done that may not be necessary.

Tldr: cleanings were fine. Dentist has no consideration for a person's time. Just finished my second cleaning at this location. My teeth were in pretty bad shape, first dental hygenist did a great job and is the reason this is not a one star review. Just had my second cleaning here during my lunch break starting at 12. At 12:25 cleaning was done, great. But hygenist said dentist was going to come in and do a review, I thought cool, then at 12:45 no dentist. I asked how long the review was going to take? She said a few minutes ... Ok, 12:50 I said I need to get back to work, as I am leaving at about 12:52 he shows up. I should have just left but I try to be polite. No reason for me to sit from 12:25 to 12:50 doing absolutely nothing and getting back to work a little late for something that was completely unnecessary. Regardless of me being on my lunch break it's unprofessional to have somebody sitting that long for no reason. I am exceptionally annoyed and hungry.

Great people. Very accommodating. They make you feel welcome and at ease and always willing to make you feel comfortable during the visits. They definitely went above and beyond my expectations to earn mine and my family’s business. It has been a while since I had this type of positive experience. Highly recommended.
