Tried this place since they took my insurance. I go in one day for a regular cleaning. Off rip the dentist tells me i needed 3 crowns & that i have multiple cavities. Went back to my old dentist, he cleaned my teeth AND stated i have no cavities & needed NO crowns. Money is their main focus here. I needed the xrays they took. Harassed them for 3 weeks for them to be emailed to me, still havent gotten them. Please take your time & money elsewhere. Bad Service all around.

Staff doesn’t introduce themselves. Dr.LaPenna acts as if she has better things to do. Very rude and is so irritated by questions as if she’s too good to answer them. Rushed experience. And this was in 2 separate appointments as a NEW PATIENT! Tried reaching out to managers, COO’s to no avail. Will be looking for treatment elsewhere. I’ve never received such subpar treatment in a medical setting. I was literally in tears leaving this practice.

kim was really nice when i walked in and helped me check in quickly! pam who has been doing my cleanings for years is the best and very sweet. leland was very helpful with scheduling my next appt and with giving me details on the stuff being done today! 10/10 the best and only dentist ive ever been too!

After having a bad experience at one, Dentist here in Charlotte, I went to Friendly Dentist at Whitehall. They were very kind and gentle and explained all that they were going to do to restore my mouth. So that I may smile again. Tomorrow I go for a tooth extraction. That the other dentist should have done and I have a little more confidence in Dentist now that I went to Friendly Dentist.. Thanks for your patience and helpfulness.

I would definitely not recommend this dentist group. Two things happened when I came here, first time I was recommend 1 crown. A couple weeks later I came back for another tooth and recommended 2 crowns and 1 soon. I ALMOST went thru with it but thank god I went and got a second opinion. I ended up going to a dentist on Providence Rd who gave me a cash discount and told me I needed no crowns but just replace 3 amalgam filling and fix the filling Friendly Dental did. Cost me maybe 1k after the fillings got replaced and fix several other small things. I now only have 1 filling left from Friendly Dental which hopefully I can replace because my dentist said it wasn’t smooth and catches. The price difference at another place could be comparable or a few hundred more but to have a dentist that uses actually high quality resin, no sensitivy because they take their time. I now have zero sensitivity my amalgam fillings were NOT too big as I was told but only 1 had some minor decay. The amalgam fillings technically could have stayed! But I am glad I got the replaced but go to someone that doesn’t recommend crowns first! I went atleast 4x and was always recommend crowns even years apart. Get a second opinion even if it cost $100 please don’t let just anyone work on your teeth and not someone that rushes thru her work.

They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. The office is clean, and well organized, and you can truly tell they care about their patients. My treatment was handled with great care, and the quality of service exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to find a dental team that combines skill, efficiency, and genuine friendliness the way they do. I highly recommend Friendly Dental of Whitehall to anyone looking for a trustworthy, patient focused dental office. They definitely deserve all five stars!!!

Highly Recommend Dr. Lapenna I had an amazing experience at the dental office. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Dr. Lapenna is professional, patient, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. You can really tell she cares about her patients and their comfort. The office is clean, and runs smoothly I never feel rushed or anxious during visits. Whether it’s a routine cleaning or a more detailed procedure, I always leave feeling confident in my care. I wouldn’t trust my smile with anyone else!
