About Galleria Dental of Springfield

The annual maximum is the most misunderstood number in dental insurance, and it quietly shapes how any general practice sequences larger work. Most plans cap out between $1,000 and $2,000 a year, a figure that has barely moved in decades, and a crown or two can consume it. A practice doing full-mouth restorative work will often stage treatment deliberately across benefit years, treating the urgent quadrant now and the rest after January, which is a real saving rather than a stalling tactic. Ask for a plan that shows the split in writing. Implants and cosmetic work such as veneers or whitening usually fall outside coverage entirely, so read those figures as out-of-pocket from the beginning.

Galleria Dental is a general practice led by Dr. Eric L. Tolliver, and the range is genuinely broad for a single location: exams, cleanings and periodontal therapy on the preventive side; crowns, bridges, fillings and full-mouth reconstruction on the restorative side; veneers, bonding, whitening, gum recontouring and smile makeovers on the cosmetic side. Add children's dentistry, Invisalign, dentures and partials, implants including full-arch and implant-retained dentures, and sedation for anxious patients. Emergencies — a fractured tooth, an abscess needing a root canal, an extraction that cannot wait — are handled in-house rather than referred out. The practice is affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Springfield Dental Society.

Suite C112 at 4350 South National Avenue puts the office near the James River Freeway and Republic Road interchange on Springfield's south side, convenient from Nixa and Ozark and from the whole south National corridor, and a genuine drive from the north end of town. Insurance claims are filed on your behalf and CareCredit financing is offered for balances that exceed coverage. First visits are structured as a full examination with imaging and a written plan rather than a same-day procedure, unless you arrive in pain. The office keeps weekday hours with Friday reserved by appointment, so book non-urgent work early in the week. If you are bringing children, ask when the quieter blocks fall — mid-morning generally runs closer to schedule than late afternoon.

Led by Dr. Eric L. Tolliver, Galleria Dental covers an unusually wide range from one south Springfield location: preventive care and periodontal therapy, crowns, bridges and full-mouth reconstruction, veneers, bonding, whitening and gum recontouring, children's dentistry, Invisalign, dentures, implants including full-arch work, and sedation for anxious patients. Emergencies including root canals and extractions are handled in-house. Claims are filed for you and CareCredit covers balances beyond your annual maximum.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one office really handle implants, Invisalign and children's dentistry?
A general practice with a broad scope handles more of its own referrals internally, and this one lists preventive, restorative, cosmetic, orthodontic, paediatric, denture and implant services in-house. The practical benefit is fewer handoffs and one set of records. The reasonable question at a consultation is how often the practice performs the specific procedure you need, which is a fair thing to ask any dentist anywhere.
What sedation options are available for anxious patients?
The practice offers sedation dentistry for patients who struggle to get through treatment, which makes longer restorative appointments and surgical work manageable in fewer visits. Discuss your medical history and current medications when you book, since those determine what is appropriate for you. If anxiety rather than pain is the barrier that has kept you away, say so directly — it changes how the first appointment is structured.
How does the office handle a dental emergency?
Emergency treatment, including root canals and extractions, is handled in-house rather than referred elsewhere, so a cracked tooth or an abscess can be dealt with where your records already sit. Call rather than book online when you are in pain, and describe the symptom clearly. Swelling that is spreading, or pain that wakes you at night, gets triaged differently from a chipped edge on a front tooth.

Following my experience as a patient at a high-end, innovative dentistry in Springfield, I’ve found the staff, hygienists and dentist at Galleria Dental to be extremely caring, competent and refreshing. Had much work done at the former dentistry ($$$) but let them know I was not considering implants at that time. Called to make an appointment for a very painful abscessed tooth, which they were aware had issues, and the soonest appointment they would offer was 2 months out. Isn’t that considered a dental emergency?? Called Galleria Dental and they worked me into their schedule the following day, prescribing me antibiotics until they could extract my tooth. Their quick action not only relieved the pain, but also staved off further infection as the tooth, once extracted, had a cyst in addition to the huge abscess. Their follow up care was impeccable and they offered several options, vs the incredibly expensive implant, to replace my missing tooth. Their hygienists are personable and the BEST at cleaning teeth and removing stain! Their staff is genuinely friendly and very accommodating. My overall experience with Galleria Dental has been exceptional and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a Springfield area dentist who puts their patients first!

The care I received was excellent. I called with an emergency dental issue on a Sunday morning. I was called back within a few minutes and was given an appointment first thing Monday morning. The staff were friendly and upbeat and the dental care I received was beyond great. My problem tooth was extracted quickly and painlessly. I was amazed at the reasonable cost as well as the professionalism of the dentist and all the dental assistants. I am definitely changing my dental care to Galleria!
