Dental care within Jackson Memorial campus Miami FL
Smyleee Rating
Good
Northwest 14th Street at 1050, ZIP 33136, sits within the Jackson Memorial Hospital campus in the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami — one of the most significant medical complexes in the southeastern United States. Jackson Memorial is Miami-Dade County's primary public hospital and a Level I trauma center affiliated with the University of Miami Health System, and the surrounding NW 14th Street area encompasses the broader Jackson Health System campus including clinics, medical offices, and ancillary health services.
Gateway Dental of Jackson Memorial occupies first-floor space at this campus address, placing it in the service ecology of a major public health system. A dental clinic at street level within or adjacent to the Jackson Memorial campus serves a patient population that is meaningfully different from those at private neighborhood practices: patients navigating the public health system, individuals whose care is coordinated through Jackson's network, and community members who arrive at the health campus for multiple services in the same visit.
This is a separate Gateway Dental location from Gateway Dental of Coral Way at 2375 SW 27th Avenue — the two share a brand name but serve entirely different geographic communities and patient contexts. Gateway Dental of Jackson Memorial is embedded in the institutional health context of the NW 14th Street medical campus; Gateway Dental of Coral Way is a neighborhood general practice in the residential Coral Way area.
General dentistry at this campus location provides the preventive and restorative care that the surrounding community accesses within the health district: cleanings, fillings, X-rays, crowns, and the diagnostic evaluation that identifies dental conditions requiring further treatment. Within the Jackson Memorial ecosystem, dental care at accessible pricing and the capacity to coordinate with the broader health system reflects the public-service orientation of clinic space at this campus.
For patients in the Allapattah and surrounding northwest Miami communities who visit the Jackson Memorial campus for healthcare needs, Gateway Dental of Jackson Memorial at the first floor of 1050 NW 14th Street provides dental access within the same campus environment.
Gateway Dental of Jackson Memorial, 1050 NW 14th St 1st floor, Allapattah, Miami FL 33136 — campus dental clinic; separate from Gateway Dental of Coral Way at 2375 SW 27th Ave.

I called Gateway Dental to confirm my appointment, and the receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment and that they were closing for the year, so I would have to wait until next year. I explained that I personally scheduled the appointment in October and that I received a text message to confirm it, which I replied to as “confirmed.” Despite this, she refused to help me and hung up the phone. Yes, I was upset because the situation was very frustrating, and she told me that I had no manners because I “wouldn’t let her talk,” when in reality I stayed quiet for several seconds waiting for her to respond and she said nothing. After she hung up, I called back several times and no one answered. When someone finally did, I spoke with the manager’s assistant, and the experience was even worse. Extremely poor customer service and no effort to resolve the issue. She told me that the appointment was for November, but here you can see that it was not. Hopefully the manager or the owner can see this review and know what type of employees they have! The only person who has consistently been kind, professional, and excellent at her job is Vade. Thank you Vade, for being so polite and special. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this place. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a dental office.
I was seen by Vladimir the dental assistant. He was very professional. Took measurements for my temporary tooth and placed one in the affected area until the new one is received. Ive been a patient at Gateway Dental for over 15 years. The attention has always been outstanding.
Made the appointment with ease. Got there and the plaza parking is pricey but realized later they validate it. Front desk staff was young and all over the place. They seemed disorganized and out of focus. They were having loud personal conversations that could be heard by all of us. The lady that calls insurances took long and when I got up to check what was taking so long I caught her yapping. Once inside I didn’t like the light handles had no blue wrappers. The assistant although nice was wearing the same gloves while he manipulated the computer mouse, the x-ray gun, bite blockers, drawer handles and dental equipment. These gloves went inside my mouth. I don’t believe these computers and handles get disinfected in between patients. Same thing with the seat controls. Their computer and cabinets are situated behind the patient seat so you can’t see what they’re doing unless you turn your head which I did bc I’m never at ease at a dentists precisely because I’ve consistently noticed a lack of awareness with the glove usage. They seem to think they’re just protecting themselves from germs and bacteria but they’re actually spreading patient saliva and microorganisms from one mouth to another. Gloves should be put on right before they handle your mouth and right in front of you. Hygiene 101.
Horrible customer service been calling for a week now just to get my bridge done I get put on hold for more than 15 min call back they don’t pick up left messages over and over again nobody calls back just called again only to be left on hold forever made 3 more calls no one picks up it’s ridiculous at this point I’m going to have to drive there just to get an answer
I always have an amazing experience at this dental office! From the moment I walk in, Jany at the front desk is incredible, so warm, welcoming, and organized. She makes the check-in process seamless and goes above and beyond to ensure I am comfortable. Dr. Miranda is absolutely spectacular. His professionalism, expertise, and gentle approach make my visit stress-free. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, making me feel completely at ease. It's clear he genuinely cares about her patients' well-being. This office has a fantastic team, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for top-quality dental care!
