About Graig D. Brown DDS MS PLLC
Graig D. Brown DDS MS PLLC operates on North Swan Road in the Old Fort Lowell area of Tucson, Arizona. Periodontics is the specialty focused on the gums and the bone supporting the teeth, handling more advanced gum disease, related surgical treatment, and — in many practices — dental implant placement, which sits naturally alongside that training.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. You can reach Graig D. Very skilled, knowledgeable people. Dr. Brown communicated very well, explaining what they saw, what they would do to fix it, and why it was necessary.
Dr. Brown is superb. Very gentle, careful and thorough. His staff is equally as nice and caring.
My husband and I love Dr Brown and his whole team. ! We would never get implants or endodontic procedures anywhere else. Dr Brown is an absolute expert and has great compassion for his patients. I would drive half way across the state to be treated by him!
My experience with the office of Dr Graig Brown has been nothing but first class from the time I first encountered the receptionist, the dental assistants to even when it came time to pay. The office has been decorated in a design that is extremely relaxing and Dr Brown personality is extremely comforting And professional. I will refer him, always!
Dr Graig Brown is a very dedicated periodontal dentist. His office runs efficiently and his staff very committed to the patients. I recently had a consult and subsequent gum graft done by Dr Brown. Unfortunately, the procedure was unsuccessful and left discoloration and nerve root exposure. I had to contact my cosmetic dentist to replace the two front teeth that were affected. I would not recommend Dr Brown for a gum graft procedure.
I didn't want a gum graft. I'd been putting it off for years but finally figured it was time after a third dentist recommended it over the past decade. I am so thankful that I was referred to Dr. Brown. I'm terrible with surgery and even just hearing the details about the procedure was enough to make me dizzy. However, from the minute I walked into Dr. Brown's office for my consultation, to my very last follow up weeks later, I felt comfortable and at ease. Dr. Brown and his entire team are amazing. Even with hundreds of patients over that period, they remembered small details that I told them - what I planned to do between visits, small items about my life and family, etc. They truly embody the spirit of patient care. Not to mention, the actual procedure went great, Dr. Brown called me that same evening to make sure I was feeling okay, and the team's instructions for after-care and what to expect aligned exactly with my experience. While I don't necessarily want to repeat this procedure any time soon, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Brown and his team.
Dr. Brown first-rate: kind and careful to guide you through surgical procedures and treatments. Dr Brown brings a wealth of experience to his practice. He is solving periodontal issues I’ve had for years. His professional assistants are first rate. The office staff is friendly and efficient.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr Brown. He is incredibly knowledgeable, confident, and skilled, which gave me 100% trust going into two surgeries. The recovery…I had no discomfort, no swelling, and no pain after either procedure—not even needing Tylenol. That alone speaks volumes about the level of care and precision here. Jennifer was outstanding and went out of her way to help out. The assistant in the surgery was a sweetheart. Outstanding experience. Highly recommend!
I wish I can give you guys more stars. Dr. Brown and his team are wonderful. Dr. Brown has done multiple procedure on me through out the years and all I can say is they are the best. The ladies in the front office are so helpful when I call to schedule my appointments. The clinical team are always kind and gentle. Such a professional office. I can't recommend this office enough.
