About Grand Dental - Aurora

What distinguishes this North Farnsworth Avenue office is the bench. Alongside general dentists including Dr. Steve Napier, Dr. Cole Wells and Dr. Abril Rojas, the practice keeps a periodontist, Dr. Bruce Abdullah, a pediatric specialist, Dr. Raya Abu-Zahra, and an orthodontist on site. For a family that means a toddler's first visit, a teenager's braces, an adult's gum surgery and a grandparent's implants can all happen in one building, with specialists consulting across the corridor rather than referring out and waiting on letters. Equipment includes cone-beam CT, dental lasers and high-definition intraoral cameras. Spanish is spoken, and doctors take emergency calls outside office hours.

If implants brought you here, the periodontist on staff is the detail that matters most. Periodontal disease is the reason a large share of adult teeth are lost in the first place, and placing an implant into gum tissue that is still actively inflamed is how implants fail years later. Expect full periodontal charting and a scan before anyone discusses placement, and expect active disease to be treated first. That sequence adds appointments and cost before the surgery you came in asking about, and it is a mark of proper planning rather than an upsell. Ask what a quote includes, because surgical placement, the abutment, the final crown, the cone-beam scan and any grafting are commonly itemised separately, and comparing a placement-only figure against an all-inclusive one will mislead you badly.

The location just off the Farnsworth Avenue interchange with I-88 makes the office reachable from east Aurora, Montgomery and the corridor towns, and easier still if you are already commuting on the tollway. Parking is on site. Hours stretch early and late through the week with a Saturday morning block, which counts for more with orthodontic and children's appointments than with anything else, since those recur on a fixed rhythm.

The practice is in network with several major insurance carriers, runs an in-house membership plan discounting preventive care for patients without coverage, and offers third-party financing on larger treatment plans. Confirm your specific plan by telephone before the first visit; network participation changes and published lists lag behind.

Grand Dental's Aurora office on North Farnsworth Avenue, near the I-88 interchange, keeps general dentists alongside an on-staff periodontist, a pediatric specialist and an orthodontist, so children's visits, braces, gum surgery and implants all happen in one building with specialists consulting rather than referring out. Cone-beam CT, dental lasers and high-definition intraoral cameras support diagnosis. Spanish is spoken, doctors take out-of-hours emergency calls, and early, late and Saturday morning slots are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does having a periodontist on staff matter for implant treatment?
Because gum disease is the reason a large share of adult teeth are lost, and setting an implant into tissue that is still inflamed is how implants fail years later. A periodontist charts pocket depths, reads the cone-beam scan for bone volume, treats active disease first and then places the post. That sequence adds appointments and expense before surgery. It is a sign of proper planning rather than an attempt to add treatment.
Can the whole family be seen at this location?
Yes. A pediatric specialist handles first visits and children's treatment, an orthodontist manages braces and clear aligners on site, general dentists cover routine and restorative work for adults, and a periodontist takes gum and implant surgery. Appointments for several family members can often be grouped into one trip, which is usually easier to arrange over the telephone than through an online booking form.
What is normally included in an implant quote here?
Ask specifically, because practices itemise differently. Surgical placement of the post, the abutment connecting it, the final crown, the cone-beam scan and any bone grafting are commonly separate lines. A placement-only figure will always look cheaper than an all-inclusive one for the same finished tooth. Request the plan in writing with each stage priced out, then compare it against other offices line by line rather than headline by headline.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Grand Dental! My husband had been to a different dental practice on Thursday for a severe toothache he’d been dealing with for several days. They informed him he needed a root canal and were able to schedule him for the next afternoon. The doctor began the procedure and then discovered the tooth was cracked and needed to be extracted instead. They were unable to do the extraction at that point so packed the tooth then told us he’d have to wait till Monday to get the tooth removed AND did not provide him with any medication for pain relief even after I begged for something to get him through the weekend. I frantically called dental places Saturday morning trying to find somewhere that could see him on an emergency basis. Grand Dental went out of their way to fit him in and address the infected tooth. They saw him in less than an hour and removed the tooth so he could begin to heal and get some pain relief. The staff was so kind and Dr. Rojas made sure my husband was comfortable and addressed his pain and the root cause - literally! We are SO incredibly thankful for their caring and kindness and would absolutely work with them in the future.

My family was looking for a dental practice that would treat all ages of my family. Its so hard to commute and plan any medical appointments let alone when the kids have to go halfway across the city and the parents are in the other direction. It'll be so nice to be in the same facility. I love the esthetics of the office and building. Pro tip: the door that reads "center implants" is the actual dental office. 😆 My hygienist was so very nice! She was informative and well versed in any dental angst one may have! The front desk staff was so kind, helpful, and very transparent about finances! Also, more than willing to help me book the 1 million appointments I needed to make between myself and 3 others! Even so much to make sure to annotate a referral credit for when my family starts to go there too! The sweet little climbing tree is adorable! At the end, very easy to make an appointment, clean office, and family friendly!

From my first visit with Dr. Allen, I could tell his approach was different. He was thorough, detail oriented, and took the time to explain everything clearly. It was obvious that precision and quality were a priority. Throughout treatment, I felt confident that every adjustment was intentional. I could appreciate the level of planning and attention to detail that went into achieving the right result. Now that I’m done, I’m extremely happy with how everything turned out. My teeth look great, and my bite feels balanced and properly aligned. As a dental provider myself, I know great work when I see it, and I’d definitely recommend Dr. Allen to anyone looking for high quality orthodontic care. Thank you so much Doc! 😄

This was our first visit to Grand Dental and it was a very positive experience. I brought my two kids in who are age 5 and 3. I didn’t catch her name, but we were promptly and kindly greeted by the front desk staff. There is a super fun playhouse for kids, which seemed to quickly make my kids forget their nerves. Our hygienist, Monica, was so great. I noticed that she was intentional with using each of my girl’s names and brought a calming presence. She patiently explained each step to them and made sure they were doing okay. We saw Dr. Rojas, who was also wonderful. She answered my questions, explained things well to myself and my kids. Very happy with the care we received and I look forward to returning for future visits!
