About Great Expressions Dental Centers - Warren Specialty

This is not a general dental office, and that distinction shapes everything about a visit. The Warren Specialty location on East 12 Mile Road is where Great Expressions concentrates its referral work: endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics under one roof, with general dentistry alongside. Many patients arrive because their own dentist reached the edge of what a general practice handles and sent them here rather than to a hospital clinic. The schedule reflects that role, running weekdays only, eight to five most days and finishing earlier on Friday.

If you are here for implants, the advantage of a specialty site is that the surgical and prosthetic halves of the job sit in the same building. That matters most for full-arch cases. An All-on-4 style reconstruction, where a full set of teeth is carried on four strategically angled posts, works by tilting the rear implants to catch denser bone and avoid the sinus, which is what lets some patients avoid grafting altogether. It is not a universal solution. Suitability depends on bone volume shown on a scan, on gum health, and on realistic expectations about a fixed bridge that must be cleaned under daily and reviewed regularly. Expect the surgical fee, the temporary bridge and the final prosthesis to be quoted as distinct stages.

Endodontics is the other reason people are referred to this address. A root canal performed by a specialist typically means better magnification, more time budgeted for difficult anatomy, and a higher chance of saving a tooth that a general office judged borderline. Retreatment of a previously root-filled tooth that has flared up is also handled here, which is genuinely specialist work.

Periodontal therapy, extractions including surgical removals, crowns, bridges, dentures and partials round out the list. Great Expressions is in network with most PPO plans and participates in DHMO programs, and financing options are available for larger reconstructions. The 12 Mile corridor location keeps it accessible from across Warren, Madison Heights and Center Line. The trade-off is that you should expect specialist rather than family-practice pricing, and no weekend availability.

Great Expressions concentrates its specialist care at this East 12 Mile Road location in Warren: oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics alongside general dentistry. It handles the work a family practice refers out, including full-arch implant reconstruction, surgical extractions, complex and repeat root canal treatment, and periodontal therapy. In network with most PPO plans, with DHMO participation and financing on larger cases. Weekdays only, with an early Friday finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral from my own dentist to be seen here?
Much of the caseload arrives by referral, because this location exists to take on work that general practices send out. You do not necessarily have to wait for one, but bringing recent X-rays and your dentist's notes makes the first visit far more productive and can avoid repeating imaging. If you are already a Great Expressions patient elsewhere, your records transfer internally, which shortens the process considerably.
How does an All-on-4 reconstruction differ from individual implants?
Individual implants replace teeth one at a time, each with its own post and crown. A full-arch reconstruction carries an entire row of teeth on four posts, with the rear two angled to reach denser bone and stay clear of the sinus. That angling is what allows some patients to skip grafting. The result is fixed rather than removable, but it must be cleaned underneath every day and reviewed on a set schedule.
Why would a root canal be done by a specialist rather than my regular dentist?
Molars can have curved, calcified or extra canals that are difficult to find and clean under normal conditions. An endodontist works with higher magnification and budgets more chair time for exactly those cases, which raises the odds of saving a tooth judged borderline elsewhere. Retreatment, where a previously filled tooth becomes painful again, is also specialist territory because the old filling material must be removed before the canal can be cleaned properly.

Got an appointment quickly and office staff was professional and hospitable. Dr. Bey assistant was very patient and helpful assisting with my procedure so I wasn’t so nervous.. clerk calling to confirm the appointment and explain the charges could be more compassionate and receptive to patient’s concerns regarding payment.

Charges $35 just to schedule an appointment, at least it goes towards your total. They don't do anything same day, so expect to have to take multiple days off of work to get anything done. If your insurance has an office visit copay they will make sure you have to have multiple visits so you pay that multiple times. They dont care that they inconvenience people with their policies about same day procedures or their incredibly long wait times. Oh and dont believe their replies on the bad reviews about reaching out to customer service for further help, you won't hear back from anyone. It's a corporate dentist office thats is in it for the money and that is it. Only reason I need to see the specialist in the first place is because a different GE dentist did the wrong type of filling on one of my teeth. Still haven't heard from customer service regarding that.

Everyone here is so kind! The front desk staff are really knowledgeable and clearly explain protocol, procedures and financial expectations. I saw Dr Carbajal for my first root canal today and it was quicker than I expected and virtually painless. He and his assistant DJ made me super comfortable and brought a lot of lightness and ease to a procedure I was really nervous about- they're a great team and I was thankful for them both today. Definitely recommend this office!

I’m extremely disappointed with the way this office handled my wisdom teeth removal appointment. I scheduled the procedure three months in advance and planned my work schedule around it, even taking days off to be available for the surgery. Then, just one week before the appointment, the office called to cancel and told me they were giving the time slot to another patient who had been waiting. That explanation was very frustrating and felt extremely unprofessional. Patients make arrangements, take time off work, and trust that their scheduled procedures will be respected. This is not the first time I’ve experienced scheduling issues with Great Expression, and unfortunately this situation confirmed my concerns. If appointments can simply be reassigned after months of waiting, it shows a lack of respect for patients’ time and commitments. There are many excellent dental offices that treat patients with professionalism and reliability. Unfortunately, this experience has convinced me to look elsewhere for my dental care. Update: It has now been over 3 weeks since I requested the refund for the deposit on the appointment they canceled. I have called multiple times, and each time I’m told no one knows the status and someone will call me back. No one ever does. The lack of accountability and professionalism after canceling a patient’s procedure is unacceptable.

I had a wonderful experience at Great Expressions. From the moment you walk in, the office feels family-oriented and welcoming — not like you’re just another patient, but someone they truly care about. The staff are personable, attentive, and really take time to listen to your concerns. Everything is explained clearly and thoroughly, so you always understand your treatment plan and aftercare instructions. Dr. Robani is amazing — she goes into great detail about your care, makes sure you’re comfortable, and answers questions with patience and clarity. If you’re looking for a dental office where you’re treated with genuine care and respect, I highly recommend them.
