About Green Mountain Dental

Green Mountain Dental is a dental practice on Kimball Avenue in South Burlington, Vermont. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window. They did great with removing my tooth that broke in half. They offered nitrous and I declined and they still number me up very well. They got the tooth out with minimal to little to no pain. The numbing injection hurt more than the tooth removal haha. I would recommend and come again. Theyíú⁷ weren't pushy on what else to schedule or what other work to get done.

From the first phone call to having the dental procedure, I was treated with kindness, understanding and compassion. This practice truly understands folks who have a childhood phobia of going to the dentist. I am deeply appreciative!

Booked out far in advance which is annoying but I went for my first cleaning today. I was serviced by a dental hygienist named Jackie and she was awesome. Pleasant conversation but not too much where you felt awkward you couldn’t answer because you were having dental work done. She explained everything very clearly and answered my questions kindly. Shoutout Jackie fr

I immediately felt comfortable with the staff whom I found professional, sensitive to my needs, understanding and very gentle. In meeting Dr. Brown for a consultation today as a new patient she was equally as wonderful and offered different treatment options to me which was nice. She explained each one and we chose one that would be best for me. For once I did not have any anxiety in the dental chair! Looking forward to my upcoming appointment for treatment. I can guarantee you that I’ve never said that before! I would highly recommend Green Mountain Dental.

These guys are great! Super nice and competent staff. I had damaged a prominent implant / crown and wasn’t an active patient yet. They were able to squeeze me into the next cancelation (within a week) given the urgency. I went in with low expectations and anticipating I’d pay through the nose. I walked out with the crown looking good as new and paid a fraction of what I was anticipating. Dr. Aten was super resourceful and accommodating. The office was clean and friendly! 10/10 would recommend👍
