About Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics

Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics is a dental practice on Britton Plaza in the South Tampa area of Tampa, Florida. Orthodontic treatment straightens teeth and corrects bite problems using braces, clear aligners, or similar appliances over a period that commonly runs from about a year to several years depending on the case. It is offered to both children, where early evaluation can catch developing issues, and adults at any age.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. Is orthodontic treatment only for children?
No. Adults make up a substantial share of orthodontic patients, and teeth can be moved at any age provided the gums and supporting bone are healthy.
Why do dentists take X-rays?
Decay between teeth and problems below the gumline are invisible to the naked eye, so X-rays are what reveal them. Modern digital images use a low dose and are taken only when clinically justified.

I never even do this but after going to a new dentist by happenstance because my insurance changed I have hindsight vision on my experience here. First of all, my appointments would be rescheduled the day before or day of more often than not. But more importantly, every time I would go they would say I have cavities and offer to put hydropoxatite paste to attempt remineralizing them because they were too small to drill ($700). I would always decline because $700. Then they’d say my teeth have so much built up and ask if I wanted to pay extra for some paste that will make the cleaning go faster. One time I said yes and another I said no, there was no noticeable difference. My new dentist said my teeth are perfect no cavities no build up, and I haven’t changed anything since I last went here. I genuinely think these doctors are just out for money and dishonest. Watch out.

I have been a patient here for probably almost 10 years and it's been such a pleasure to be a parient here. Everyone is professional, the wait is never long and same day services if anything comes up is very convenient! The place is not flashy or anything but keeps up with new advancements and treatments. I highly recommend going here!

Dayanna took my original call and was super friendly and knowledgeable. Her and Jackie remembered my Friendsgiving I mentioned I had to go to before the visit- super personable! Dr. Wallitsch was friendly, confident and inspiring-not shameful-about ways I can take better care of my dental health. Then comes to the part. I typically dread: the cleaning. But Carla was so sweet and attentive. I can honestly say that it was the best cleaning I have ever had in my adult life. I truly cannot wait to see them again in December for my fillings. I will be recommending this practice to all of my friends!

No one likes to go to the dentist but this office makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The periodontist, Dr Chad Bardsley, is wonderful and all the dental assistants are kind and gentle. Jackie at the front desk is so helpful and knowledgeable. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of!

Dr. Anthony and the staff here were the absolute BEST! Dr. Anthony was very well spoken, Kadija was very pleasant to work with and the front desk staff helped with any and all of my questions. This office is very efficient, clean and the staff are diligent and personable. I came in to get some scans for my aligner treatment and my appointment went very smoothly! I'm from New Jersey and I have now found my dentist here in Florida! Schedule an appointment ASAP, stop playing (I see that plaque...)!
