Hakala Family Dentistry

I have been going to Dr. Hakala 10 years. She is such an excellent dentist. The staff, Jamie at the front desk is awesome, Always explains any problems with payment or next appointmentThe hygienist are always fantastic and very courteous. Dr. Hackett is always available for questions and truly cares about the patient and oral care. I’d recommend her for any person or family. She’s the best DENVER has.

I love this dentist office! After years of searching for a good dentist in the area, I found Dr. Hakala through Google Maps and 4 years later I am still a very satisfied patient. Jaime, Kika and the rest of the staff always treat me with kindness and professionalism and that goes a long way; there are not a lot of medical practices where I can say I truly enjoy the company of the staff, but this is one of them. I also appreciate how the billing is always explained before procedures as I've had experiences with other offices who are not as transparent about their pricing. I highly recommend trying this dentist practice if you are looking.

I had not been to a dentist in a very long time. I decided to give Dr. Hakala a try on a recommendation. I am so happy I did! From the time I walked in the door Jaime was friendly and helpful. Brittany, who was my hygienist, was pleasant and helpful, patient with me and did a fantastic job! Dr. Kate was wonderful, I am usually not good at the dentist, and she put me at ease and didn't criticize or judge me for not being to a dentist in 7 years. I can't say enough good things about this office and the wonderful experience I had.

My family and I used to come to this dentistry a lot over the years. Dr. Kate is a nice dentist and does a good job in her dental work. She is completely honest and doesn't try and add on any additional treatments that you don' particularly need. I would also recommend Brenda as a hygienist. She was very polite and a pleasure to talk to and get to know :) However, we have noticed over the years that some of the employees Dr. Kate has hired haven't displayed the same level of professionalism. Namely, there have been a couple previous hygienists and secretaries that have been quite rude and unprofessional. I am writing this today as the receptionist Dee Dee was unprofessional, discourteous, and overall aggressive. I originally made a mistake and thought my appointment was at 8:30am instead of 8:00 and thus, was half an hour late. I was told they had tried to contact me two days before but there was no record on my phone nor no voicemail, which I found strange. I later found out that they had called the wrong number and had actually never notified me even though I had given them the correct number weeks before. I didn't want to argue however, since being on time is strictly a patient's responsibility. The purpose of this review is to address how I was spoken to when I came to arrange another appointment. I was told that most of my cleanings and a cavity would not be able to be filled/completed until the end of July which was completely reasonable since most dentistries run a tight schedule. I apologized and was willing to come in a lot later. However, when I came to the front desk, Dee Dee informed me in a passive aggressive manner that it would be in August instead. I thought that it seemed to be a bit far considering it's a cavity and might need to be filled sooner rather than later. She was unreasonably harsh in the way she spoke when I asked questions like I was a child instead of an adult and had this odd mocking laugh that is completely inappropriate, in particular for a receptionist. Dee Dee might want to consider a refund from whatever charm school of manners she attended as it clearly didn't seem to work. I'm sorry to say that i don't think I will be returning here anytime soon... :/

Dr. Kate and everyone at Hakala Family Dentistry are by far my favorite dental team I’ve ever had. Everyone was very kind and easy to talk to, I felt well taken care of, and I was confident that they were only giving me the services I actually needed (no up-selling, very straightforward communication, etc). I recently moved and having to go to a new dentist made me really appreciate how great everyone at Hakala Family Dentistry was! Highly recommend them.
