About Hammond Dental Sandy Springs
Based on Sandy Springs Place Northeast in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Hammond Dental Sandy Springs is a dental practice serving the area. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.
Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.
Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in.
NightLase is a laser treatment that tightens tissue in the throat to reduce snoring, offered as a non-surgical option for patients who would rather avoid an oral appliance or surgery. Results are maintained with periodic repeat sessions. Use this page to find contact information for Hammond Dental Sandy Springs and to see its full range of services before getting in touch.

Great job and service 👏
Best place!!
New to Hammond Dental and they have my vote of confidence. Efficient office, thorough exam & cleaning, listened to my areas of focus and concern and created a plan that fits. They incorporated some good “things to know” points to. 👍
I was so surprised how you do your job perfectly and professionally when l Comparison you with previous dental I use to go, I appreciate your service so much
UPDATED REVIEW: I had to go back in concerning the filling that I previously got, due to it needing to be filed down more because of my bite. I went in and it was filed down, then shortly after leaving from this procedure, the filling came out. I had not eaten anything that day at all, so I feel like it's because it was filed down too much. I called in and explained what happened, they advised for me to come back in at 3:00. It was explained that the fillings are temporary. I explained that I was told that it should at least last a year. If I had known that it was going to be that temporary ( a few weeks), I would have not wasted my time nor money to get that service done. So, they went over my next options, which was for a crown. In the consultation, I was advised that eventually both top teeth will need a crown. I concurred with their findings, and advised that after they presented my figures with insurance, that i will get the crown on the broke tooth done first and then work towards getting the other tooth done at a later date, due to me currently being out of work and I am on a strict budget. They drew up the documents for the 1 tooth, and I signed and I paid what needed to be paid for that visit of the consultation for the 1 tooth. They then told me that they could not do it that day and that I would have to come back, which was Thursday. Upon checking in on Thursday, I was advised that I needed to pay the remaining balance for the 1 crown and I did. I was then called back to begin the process of the crown on my 1 tooth. This process was so traumatic because the process was not explained to me at all. I actually laid there and cried because I was like what is going on. I stopped them and asked for some tissue, and then the dentist asked what's wrong. I told her how traumatizing this was because no one explained anything to me. My smile is my most important feature. I asked if they had to take the tooth out because of the work that was being done. I was so confused as to what I though a crown was. No one explained anything to me, they just did what they had to do. Not to prolong my message, but the dentist did the work on the 2nd tooth as well, without saying a word to me about it. My agreement and Consultation and the funds that I paid was for 1 tooth, as stated, my finances are very tight right now, due to me being on a short term disability leave. The dentist did work that I did not agree to, and now I am being made responsible to pay a bill in a certain time frame that I did not agree to, nor was it discussed with me. The desk agent went over my next appointment with me and let me knew what I needed to pay when I came back. I asked how can someone force a service on you that you didn't even authorized to be done. This is so unprofessional and unacceptable. I have been in this area for a little over a year now, but have not made a decision on changing Dentist Office just yet. I recently had a very unfortunate incident while eating a Cherry Plum, where my front tooth bit down and hit the seed and it chipped. I sat down for a moment in much disbelief, and I was like, I know that this didn’t just happen to me. Sure enough I felt it and then I went to look into the mirror. After laughing hysterically, I just knew that something had to be done EXPEDITIOUSLY. I knew that it was impossible for me to get to my dentist, so I Google searched and this Dentist off stood out the most to me. I called and explained my situation, and there was no hesitation in getting me in. I received the best customer service and warmest greeting from The beautiful front desk agent- Sabria, then Mckaylia, the assistant came to get me with her beautiful smile, and then on to the Amazing Dr. Dillon. The work that Dr. Dillon did to fix my tooth is truly mind blowing . The work that she did is undeniably beautiful. It looked just as good before the mishap. This dynamic team created such a comfortable, peaceful and welcoming environment. The experience felt like Family. Thanks for making me smile again.
I had a great experience at Hammond Dental! The staff was welcoming and professional. I was able to get a same day appointment and the treatment was excellent!!
I was looking for a new dental office and found Hammond Dental based on its good reviews. Overall, I have mixed feelings about my experience there. I only needed a routine cleaning, which is about as basic as it gets. When I called to make the appointment, the receptionist mentioned that I might have to come back another day because they first needed to “diagnose” before deciding if they could do the cleaning the same day. That was my first red flag. The actual cleaning and X-rays were fine, and I have no complaints about the quality of the work hence the four stars. However, after the exam they recommended a “semi-deep cleaning” because they said I had mild gum disease. This is where I started feeling like they might be trying to upsell additional services. Looking back, the way the appointment was explained over the phone already hinted at that possibility. To support their recommendation, they showed me paperwork explaining that they follow national dental association guidelines. While I understand they were probably trying to reassure me, it came across more like they were trying to justify the extra procedure. Since they said the gum disease was mild, I decided to go ahead with it rather than start over with another office. What also bothered me was having to return for the procedure. They explained that a deep cleaning requires about an hour, compared to 30 minutes for a regular cleaning, so they couldn’t fit it in the same visit. However, when I came back, the procedure only took about 30 minutes anyway. I appreciate that they worked efficiently, but it still felt inconvenient to make a second trip for something that ended up being fairly quick. Lastly, while the staff was professional, they weren’t particularly warm or friendly. No one was rude, but even a simple smile or a more welcoming attitude would have made the experience feel better.
I can’t say enough good things about Hammond Dental Clinic. From check-in to leaving, everyone was friendly and professional. Nathan stood out — he’s super nice, totally non-judgmental (I’m very self conscious about my teeth), and really caring. He explained what he was doing, made me feel comfortable, and did an awesome job. I’d recommend Hammond to anyone looking for a dental practice.
For 2026, I was changing from a dental office that I no longer had confidence in. My selection of Hammond Dental Sandy Springs was initially based on their location and the positive experiences by others, as well as the qualifications background of Dr Norris. Today at my first appointment, I was more than impressed. Very professional entrance/greeting; attended to within 5 minutes of my appointment time; greeted by Jessica who introduced their practice with a concise overview & conducted an efficient x-ray session. Then Dr Norris attended to me BEFORE anyone else to discuss her review of my x-rays and appraisal of my dental health (generally good for my age, with concerns to be monitored). I'll conclude my review by stating that Nathan was the best hygienist I've ever encountered and, believe it or not, I thoroughly enjoyed the perio cleaning he performed. Suffice to say, if you're looking for a high quality dental practice to maintain your dental health you'd be wise to choose Dr Norris and Hammond Dental SS.
I had an absolutely amazing experience at Hammond Dental! From the moment I walked in, the entire team went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for. The staff is warm, professional, and truly attentive. My procedure was handled with exceptional skill, and the results exceeded my expectations. It's rare to find a place where you feel genuinely valued as a patient, but this office delivers that and more. I'm so grateful for their outstanding service and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-tier dental care.
