About Hessam Siavash, DDS, MD, PHD

Based on Telegraph Road in Ventura, California, Hessam Siavash, DDS, MD, PHD is a dental practice serving the area. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Hessam Siavash, DDS, MD, PHD is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Hessam Siavash, DDS, MD, PHD offer?
Listed services at Hessam Siavash, DDS, MD, PHD include Wisdom Teeth Removal. The full list is shown on this page.
What age is best to have wisdom teeth taken out?
Late teens to early twenties is often easier, because the roots are less fully formed and bone is more forgiving, so healing tends to be quicker. Removal is still routinely done later when there is a reason for it.
Why do wisdom teeth cause problems?
They arrive last, often into a jaw with no room left, so they become impacted or come through at an angle. Partly erupted wisdom teeth are also very difficult to clean, which is why they are prone to repeated infection and decay.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
Every six months suits most people. If you have gum disease or a history of decay a dentist may suggest coming more often. The point of regular visits is mostly to catch problems while they are still small and cheap to treat.

This was my second experience with Dr. Siavash, and he reaffirmed his excellent skill and efficiency, his confidence in a positive outcome, and his supportive communication with a patient in his chair. He makes oral surgery, which can be an intimidating prospect, into a tolerable, even satisfying, event. He is a consummate practitioner, and I consider myself fortunate to be in his care.

Everyone was wonderful! Front office staff, nurses and of course Dr. Siavash were nice, friendly, professional and understanding as I was very nervous. They listened and answered every question I had and explained the procedure thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr. Siavash.

My wisdom tooth extraction was painless. The staff was kind and caring. As a former Navy Hospital Corpsman, Emt, and Radiology technician for the past 40 years I know a great team when I see it. My gratitude to everyone at Ventura Oral Surgery

Dr.Siavash is great. He was very informative prior to surgery, insuring I understood what was to be done, the process and the expectations in the following days. He followed up after the procedure the next day, ensuring I was provided the opportunity to ask questions, and I was provided the time for all the answers I needed to be comfortable. Thanks for the care and support.

There really aren’t enough words to express how awesome Dr. Siavache and his team of chair side assistants are! I was greeted with smiles from the front office team. From the moment I walked into the office from the moment I left, I felt like I was #1! They all cared for me as if I were their best friend! I had a terrible tooth infection with a complicated process involving getting the tooth out! I was scared! Dr. Siavache was amazing!! He walked me through the process and made me feel relaxed and confident. His knowledge amazed me! His hand was so steady and I was shocked at how quick my surgery went from beginning to end! I highly recommend Dr.Siavache and his team! I know that I will never go anywhere else if I need a tooth extracted again! The office is very clean, beautiful and the ambiance feels amazing!
