About Iconic Dental Arts (Formerly Joe Isaacson Dental)

Based on North May Avenue in the Central Oklahoma City area of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Iconic Dental Arts (Formerly Joe Isaacson Dental) is a dental practice serving the area. Holistic, or biological, dentistry applies standard dental diagnosis and treatment within an approach that emphasises material choice and conservative treatment, considering oral health as connected to the body more broadly rather than treating the mouth in isolation.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Are holistic dentists still trained in regular dentistry?
Yes. A holistic practice is a licensed dental practice that has chosen a particular philosophy around materials and conservative treatment — it is not a separate qualification, and standard diagnosis and treatment still apply.
Is biological or holistic dentistry more expensive?
It can be, since ceramic and composite materials and more conservative techniques sometimes cost more than the cheapest alternative. Pricing varies by practice, so it is worth asking directly rather than assuming.
Why do dentists take X-rays?
Decay between teeth and problems below the gumline are invisible to the naked eye, so X-rays are what reveal them. Modern digital images use a low dose and are taken only when clinically justified.

Dr Isaacson and his staff are wonderful, knowledgable and could not be kinder.I had a very painful dental emergency over the wknd and was able to get in first thing 8:30 Monday morning. He gave me meds to control the pain and infection,a treatment plan to address the issue and let me know I could call back at any time if things did not improve.

1st time at Iconic, Dr Isaacson took extra time helping me address an unusual dental situation. Over time: reliable, encouraging atmosphere, have settled in with my new dentist after my prior dentist retired. So pleased.

Dr. Isaacson and his Staff at Iconic Dental Arts are the greatest dental team I've ever been associated with. Their standard of care is excellent in every aspect from the front office Staff to his Assistant (Grace), the Dental Hygienist (Cheryl) and the Insurance/Finance person. He presents you with a plan of care after a thorough exam and includes you in the decision making process. Grace puts you at ease and makes you feel welcome and Cheryl is the absolute best Hygienist. During and after my deep cleaning I didn't experience any pain or discomfort. I would 100% recommend this dental practice

We see Jami and Dr. Isaacson, and my husband and I have received truly amazing care from them for the past five years. I’ve had two root canals, and my husband has had night guards made — every experience has been excellent. We trust them so much that we switched our children from their pediatric dentist, and it has been the best decision. My three-year-old had so much fun that he constantly talks about the dentist and is already asking to go back! As both patients and parents, our favorite thing is the time and care the entire team takes to educate us — during our own cleanings and procedures as well as during our children’s appointments. They thoughtfully recommend products and lifestyle changes they genuinely believe will help, and we trust them completely.

Shout out to Dr. Isaacson and his amazing team. From the moment I walked in for my first appointment, they were warm and welcoming. My hygienist and her assistant were very proactive throughout my visit and took the time to explain everything clearly and transparently, so I always knew what to expect. I truly appreciated how thorough and patient they were. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist who genuinely cares about their patients.
