About ICTeeth Pediatric Dentistry

ICTeeth Pediatric Dentistry provides dental care on West Maple Street in Wichita, Kansas. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less. They were so very sweet and gentle! Our twins both have an IEP, they get overwhelmed and overstimulated very easily but they were so relaxed and content the whole time! Would recommend to anyone.

The staff are always so kind and patient with my daughter. Appointments are fast, staff is efficient, and they keep you very informed about your child’s dental health. My daughter can get quite nervous before and during appointments, but she always leaves with a big smile on her face and ready to go back!

Love ICTeeth! My daughter and son have dental anxiety from their last place of dentistry and all of the hygienists are very sweet, calming, and patient along with the dentists! Anesthesia is absolutely incredible too. Couldn’t ask for a better place to take my babies!

We had such a wonderful experience with this pediatric dental office, and I truly can’t recommend them enough. My daughter has high anxiety when it comes to medical settings, and the entire team went above and beyond to make her feel safe, comfortable, and supported. They were incredibly patient during her X-rays and cleaning, taking the time to explain everything and move at her pace. I also had my newborn with me, and they were so accommodating and understanding while I balanced both kids. That level of compassion meant more than I can express. When we returned for her cavity treatment, the experience continued to exceed expectations. The anesthesiologist was kind, gentle, and reassuring, which helped both my daughter and me feel completely at ease. The dentist was equally amazing professional, compassionate, and communicative throughout the entire process. The environment itself is thoughtfully designed for children clean, colorful, and welcoming. Even the recovery room felt calm and comforting, while still being engaging for kids. From start to finish, this office created a safe and positive experience during what could have been a very stressful situation. We are so grateful for their care and highly recommend them to any family, especially those with anxious children.

If you are looking for a dentist for you kids, this is the best! They make my kids so comfortable. We have gone to another local pediatric dentistry and my youngest was always apprehensive. It made me nervous to take them. Here they tell him everything they are doing, and show him all of the tools they are using to clean his teeth. That really helps! After his first visit, they sent him a postcard to tell him how well he did. Both of my kids really like going to the dentist now. 10/10 recommend!!

Best pediatric dentist I’ve been to. The staff was prompt and friendly. The ladies doing the procedure used kid-friendly words to make my daughter feel at ease. We will be going back again and both look forward to it. The TVs on the ceiling are also genius!
