About Independence Family Dental Care

Independence Family Dental Care, out toward the Little Blue Valley area on US-40, is a general-dentistry practice for Kansas City-area patients who'd rather have one dental office handle cleanings, fillings, and the occasional emergency than manage separate providers scattered across the metro. It's a straightforward model built around consistency over convenience alone, prioritizing a lasting relationship with one practice over the years.

The service list is built around everyday needs: dental cleanings and exams, tooth-colored fillings, crowns, root canal treatment, and extractions when a tooth is beyond saving. Gum disease treatment is handled routinely rather than referred out, and emergency dentistry covers the toothaches and broken teeth that show up without warning. Cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening are also available for patients who want to work on the appearance of their smile alongside the clinical basics, all from the same office.

For families out toward Little Blue Valley who want routine dental care close to home rather than a drive into the city, this is a straightforward local option.

The Little Blue Valley area sits toward the eastern edge of the Kansas City metro, and having a general dental practice out that way means residents don't need to plan a longer drive into the city center just for a routine cleaning or checkup.

A general dentist handling both preventive and restorative work in-house also matters for scheduling — a filling found during a routine cleaning can often be addressed the same week rather than requiring a separate referral appointment weeks later at a different office. Affordable dental care is among the listed services, a fair first question for anyone comparing offices before booking. Patients searching for a family dentist near Little Blue Valley or a dentist accepting new patients in Kansas City, Missouri have a nearby, general-practice option here.

Independence Family Dental Care, in the Little Blue Valley area, provides general dentistry from cleanings and fillings through cosmetic and restorative work.

I have been very happy with my experience at Indpendence Family Dental. Things were discovered that my old dental office missed. Very friendly and professional staff. If you have anxiety from dental work, this is a safe landing space. Great dentists and wonderful hygienists. Front staff has all your info ready when you step up to their desk…this office is efficient and professional💙

I came to the clinic thinking I would have a simple procedure of putting my crown, that had fallen out, back in my mouth. So long story short, I ended up needing a bridge. I had the most caring and attentive dental hygienist, Alex, taking care of me. She made sure I was not cold by bringing me a blanket to keep me warm. She explained all procedures before doing them, she gave me numerous oral surgeons to call for my tooth extraction, and she also took the time to write out my instructions of what I needed to do and who I need to call when I went home. She was amazing. Thank you, Alex for your kind, compassionate care!!!!!

Mia was excellent as the hygienist that took care of me. I do not enjoy visits to the dentist and, although I did not enjoy this visit either, Mia and the rest of the staff were very friendly and made my visit somewhat bearable. Considering how much I dislike dental work, this is a glowing review and absolutely well deserved.

My 17 yr old son was in a car accident and he sustained injury to his 2 front teeth. His pediatric dentist was unable to provide the work and referred us out. I use to come to them in the past but when I switched jobs and my insurance changed I had to as well. My son and I are very grateful that the same day we walked in for an emergency walk in. they gave us an appt for the next day. And not only that but we're able to complete all the work he needed done in 1 sitting. The only thing we have to return is for the permanent crowns. Everyone except one person was very friendly and explained everything to him that they were doing/did at the visit except at the end. The person at the very end that took over was not very forth coming to what she was doing. She kind of assumed my son would already know and failed to give any directions or explanation as she continued the work. I've worked in a dental office and been in health are for a very long time to know that even just a brief run down of what ur doing before u do it goes a long way. Other than that everyone else was super friendly and nice.

If youre looking for quality work, I would look elsewhere. I went in for a denture consultation and was talked into spending thousands of dollars out of pocket, past my insurance coverage, to have all of the teeth repaired and crowned instead of pulled like I wanted. The teeth that were "fixed" look and feel absolutely awful. One of my front teeth that was crowned looks like a chiclet. Its sheet white, perfectly square and half the size of any surrounding teeth. This crown put pressure on my other front teeth causing them to shift, in which one cracked. I went in for a secondary visit to have it looked at and to get fixed and nothing was fixed. Was told that the original dentist that crowned it would have to call me to schedule a time to come back and have it looked at, but never received a call back. Real convenient they received all of my money just fine, but cant call me back to make things right and fix their mistake. So now im out of the money I had saved and set aside to have my teeth fixed and feel worse about them now then I originally did. Im ashamed to smile and really disappointed with the work done at Independence Family Dental Care. The front desk staff were nice, so ill give 2 stars instead of one.
