Smyleee Rating
Excellent
Independence Family Dentistry is located at 5302 Madison Pike in Independence, Kentucky — an affordable family dental practice with sedation options on the Madison Pike corridor in the seat of Kenton County in northern Kentucky's Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. Independence is the seat of Kenton County and a growing northern Kentucky city of approximately 28,000 residents, distinguishable from the more densely developed Covington-Erlanger-Florence commercial corridor of Kenton County by its suburban and semi-rural character along the county's eastern interior. Madison Pike (U.S. Route 25) runs north from Independence toward the Cincinnati suburb cluster, providing the primary commercial arterial for the eastern Kenton County communities. Independence as Kenton County's governmental seat hosts the county courthouse, administrative services, and the civic infrastructure of this northern Kentucky county — a role somewhat overshadowed commercially by Florence and Covington but important as the legal and administrative center of the county. The practice's Affordable + Family + Sedation service combination signals a community-oriented dental philosophy that emphasizes access, comprehensiveness, and patient comfort management.
Independence Family Dentistry provides affordable family dental care with sedation options for children and adults in Independence, Kenton County, and the surrounding northern Kentucky communities of Taylor Mill, Crescent Springs, and the rural eastern Kenton County townships. Core services include comprehensive oral examinations, professional dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and restorative procedures — tooth-colored fillings and crown restorations — alongside sedation dentistry for patients who experience dental anxiety or who need complex procedures performed in a relaxed clinical state. The sedation option is particularly valuable in a community-oriented family practice where a proportion of the patient base includes children with dental anxiety, adults with dental phobia from prior negative experiences, and patients whose disability or medical condition requires sedation for successful dental treatment. Kenton County's eastern Independence community is served by Madison Pike's dental and professional service corridor, with additional dental resources concentrated along the Dixie Highway and Erlanger corridors to the west.
Madison Pike's Independence position provides highway accessibility from the I-275 beltway to the north, from the Taylor Mill and Crescent Springs residential communities, and from the rural eastern Kenton County population that travels to Independence for county seat services. The Greater Cincinnati dental market's comprehensive specialist network is accessible from Independence via I-275 and the northern Kentucky arterial system connecting Kenton County to Campbell and Boone county dental resources and to the Hamilton County, Ohio network across the river.
For Independence, Kenton County, and eastern northern Kentucky patients seeking affordable family dental care with sedation options on Madison Pike, Independence Family Dentistry at 5302 provides sedation-capable family dentistry in the Kenton County seat's commercial corridor.

Excellent team. Always friendly and always explains procedures clearly.
Bridgette was amazing checking me in and helping me with the whole payment process. The dental assistants Nikki and Lexi were amazing, put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable. Dr Nakhla is the best! I have always had a fear of the novacaine shot, but he did amazing to where I barely felt it. Glad I came to this dentist office.
Everyone at this office has been great and friendly. Sage and Mary Beth do a wonderful job. I am a very anxious patient and Mary Beth was amazing. She told me what she was going to do and was very gentle. She cares about her patients and is great at her job!
Sage, the assistant was very attentive, gave good advice , and super friendly . Mary Beth the hygienist was exceptional, gentle, thorough, and very personable. She did an excellent job and made my cleaning a comfortable experience. The whole staff was welcoming, and I truly felt well cared for, after having two amazing people I was welcomed in by a third Dr.Nakhla , who was very friendly and took time to answer my questions . I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for outstanding dental care,
Sage did a great job with my cleaning!
I have been coming here for about 3 years now and have always had a good experience. I have some anxiety about some things and also health issues that require accomadation. They have always been patient with me. Stephanie is a very hardworking and thorough hygenist. I appreciate her efforts. Dr. Danny is very effecient. You can tell he really knows his stuff! Elexis the assistant was great! She works hard to be sure you are informed and comfortable. The office staff has always been great with me. Shout out to Courtney! Great job you are appreciated
Good dentist! Marybeth even showed me how to brush my teeth and floss right so my gums stop bleeding. I never knew that you were supposed to brush your gums. I’ve always just focused on my teeth alone. Well, I learned something new! Highly recommended!
I can't say enough great things about this dental office. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff made me feel welcomed and completely at ease. They were kind, patient and incredibly accommodating with scheduling and any questions I had. The dental assistant Bridgette was gentle, attentive and very assuring throughout the entire visit. They took the time to explain everything clearly, which made a huge difference in calming my nerves. As for the dentist, Dr. Nakhla, Truly exceptional, compassionate, thorough and genuinely caring . They made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. You can tell they prioritize patient care and understand that not everyone feels at ease in a dental chair. If you have any fear or anxiety about going to the dentist, this is absolutely the place you need to go. The entire team goes above and beyond to make the experience as stress-free and positive as possible. I highly recommend. Thanks again Dr. Nakhla, Bridgette and Courtney!!
This place was hard to find, it looks like an old house that's been converted into a dentist office. It's dark and dingy. The sadation room is in the basement 😳The waiting room is tiny and compact, and that's just the beginning! I waited over two hours before I even got to see the doctor!! Once he came in, he said his name as he was looking over my X-rays, said he needed more X-rays, then told me what needed to be done. When I tried to explain I was on a budget and needed to work out the most reasonable treatment plan but he was NOT interested in what I had to say! My quote ended up being $15,000!!! Now they want me to go back and do it all again! If they had just listened the first time!! So needles to say it was a waste of time!! However, they DO offer sedation!! You just have to sell sacrifice your first born to pay for it! Ps was seen feb 16 Didn't hear back untill March
The hygienist did a great job. Her assistant that was supposed to polish and floss, did not do so well. Seemed like she polished only the teeth that she could reach. Did not floss my teeth and she had some strands of hair that were close to my face and mouth. When the hygienist asked if her assistant polished and flossed, I told her she polished but did not floss. She went and told the assistant about this and then gave her more instruction regarding setting up the tools she needs. The assistant is newer and needs additional training, which I am all for, but my teeth did not get flossed. When the hygienist was done, they made me an appointment for 6-months. I asked if I would see the dentist, they said that you only see the dentist when X-Rays were taken and that there would nothing for the dentist to see. I guess dentist's can no longer look at the teeth to determine if anything needs to be done without X-rays? I hope they don't charge my insurance company for anything but a cleaning. Not sure I will be going back. Wondering if not seeing the dentist is normal?
Somewhat concerning that IDF goes through considerable turnover; however, Mary Beth has been my dental hygienist for my last 3 cleanings. India handled the flossing & polish on my last visit. Both individuals are friendly, prompt, and do a thorough job.
Mary Beth is fantastic! She is knowledgeable, personable and genuinely cares about her patients. She has shared some beat practices to help limit plaque build up between visits and she is super responsive to the needs of people with a lot of recession and sensitivity during deep cleanings. She is a gem!
