About Inner Harbor Dental Associates
Inner Harbor Dental Associates is a general dentistry practice located at 2 N Charles St, Suite 130, in the heart of downtown Baltimore, Maryland. The office is situated at the northern edge of the Inner Harbor district along the Charles Street corridor, one of Baltimore’s most recognizable thoroughfares. Downtown Baltimore is a densely populated area that mixes residential, office, and hospitality uses, making a conveniently located dental office a practical resource for workers and residents alike.
The practice provides core preventive and general dental services for adult patients. Routine care typically includes dental examinations, professional teeth cleanings, and oral hygiene assessments. Preventive visits are the most cost-effective approach to dental health, allowing dentists to identify and address issues such as early cavities or gum inflammation before they develop into more serious conditions requiring extensive treatment.
Restorative services are available for patients who arrive with existing dental concerns. Whether dealing with a cavity, a broken tooth, or another condition identified during examination, the dentist will outline the recommended course of treatment along with the expected costs before any procedure begins. Patients who are new to this office are encouraged to ask for a written treatment plan at the time of consultation.
New patients should contact the office directly using the phone number or contact form on this page to confirm current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans, and any intake forms required for a first visit. The office has posted business hours, and calling ahead or using the contact form is the most reliable way to arrange a first appointment at a convenient time.
The Charles Street corridor in downtown Baltimore offers good transit access. The Inner Harbor area and the immediate downtown blocks are served by MTA bus routes and the Light Rail downtown stops on Howard and Baltimore Streets. Highly professional and reliable customer service and support.
My dental appointment went smooth and informative. I ended up scheduling extra work to be done in two weeks.
I love it Dr bell is awesome so attentive the customer service is very professional 10 out of 10 I highly recommend
VERY EDUCATIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE,, FROM THE FRONT DESK, DENTIST, THE DENTIST ASSISTANT AND THE MANAGEMENT KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
The staff and services are outstanding. I felt very comfortable about being there, not nervous like I've been at other dental offices that I've been to. I highly recommend Inner Harbor Dental Associates.
I’ve visited this dentist office a few times, but my last visit was a complete disaster. I arrived at 9:47 am, parked on the street because their website doesn’t list the parking garages they accept. However, they have a printout at the office counter, which doesn’t help patients like me who can’t find parking on arrival. After getting checked in, I waited for at least 30 minutes and asked how much longer I’d have to wait. They told me it was about 20 minutes, but they were behind schedule. I was disappointed that they didn’t show any consideration for my inconvenience. Finally, I was called back to the back. The dental assistant wasn’t apologetic about my wait, and when the doctor finally came, he introduced himself to me over my shoulder, never walking to face me. He asked me if I was okay, which was a nice gesture, but it didn’t make up for the long wait and lack of apology. I had to wait so long to be seen, but they charged my card as soon as I arrived. It didn’t make sense to me. After all the dental work, I went to the front to check out and was scheduled for my next appointment without consulting me first. They told me it was a placeholder, but I didn’t agree. I had made a comment suggesting that everyone must have shown up for their appointments to be running behind, and the desk rep who I wasn’t even dealing with slid her chair over and said, “I truly hope you enjoy the rest of your day.” Which seemed very passive aggressive. I informed her that I would, but it didn’t have a great start due to the inconvenience and long wait. Dental offices serves patients, so they need to show a bit more care and consideration for their patients’ time and money. We come to get a service to keep our teeth healthy, not to be inconvenienced and have our time wasted. And deal with snarky comments instead of being apologetic about their shortcomings.
Normally, I’m entirely positive about my visit to Inner Harbor Dental, but two things happened yesterday that I’m not entirely comfortable with. One, my appointment to have four fillings done was for 1:30 PM, and I was not seen until 2:30 PM. Two, the dentist started working on my feelings… But broke off halfway through to go see another patient Who had been waiting a long time, then he finally came back to finish my procedure. Inner Harbor Dental a very good/very popular place, which means they’re going to be very busy… But come on guys. Let’s not try and cram so much into the schedule where the service level for your patient suffers.
I have been a patient of this practice for some time, and unfortunately, the quality of service has declined significantly since my first visit. One of the most noticeable concerns is the constant turnover of staff. It seems that every visit involves new personnel, which makes it difficult to establish continuity of care and confidence in the treatment being provided. My greatest concern involves my daughter’s recent dental issue. She experienced a cracked tooth that was considered an emergency, yet her appointment was delayed for approximately three weeks. When she was finally seen, we were informed that she needed a crown immediately. I asked whether this outcome could have been prevented if she had been seen when the issue first occurred three weeks earlier, or if the problem could have been identified during her previous visits in September and February when she was being evaluated. The response we received was that it was “50/50.” Given the significant cost of a crown, even with insurance, I asked whether there were any alternative treatment options available. My daughter is a young adult with limited income, and we were hoping for guidance regarding less costly solutions. Instead, we were advised to either apply for a CareCredit card or seek a second opinion. We will be pursuing a second opinion. While I understand that not every dental issue can be prevented, I expected more timely care, greater continuity, and a more patient-centered discussion regarding treatment options and financial considerations. Overall, this experience has been disappointing and does not reflect the level of service we received when we first became patients.
Marissa & Tammy are both amazing. Solid practice, that gets you in when you need, then makes sure to keep you on a good schedule to make sure your dental health is top notch.
Office Manager Morgan is rude and does not take accountability for the shortcomings of her staff. I was treated very poorly during a recent visit. The staff does not do a good job with communication and the management does NOTHING about it, in fact her communication skills are worst than the support staff. To spend thousands of dollars out of pocket and have to deal with such poor customer service skills is a shame. Would not recommend this establishment.
