About Jon Frankel Dentistry

Jon Frankel Dentistry is located on Talmadge Road in Toledo, a convenient west-side address that draws patients from the surrounding neighborhoods and nearby suburbs. The practice is grounded in general dentistry, covering the cleanings, exams, fillings, and preventive care that keep teeth and gums healthy through the years. For patients seeking a steady dental home, the office provides the kind of consistent, routine attention that makes it easy to stay ahead of problems rather than react to them. The practice also offers cosmetic dentistry, giving patients a path to improve the appearance of their smile in the same familiar setting where they handle their regular care. Whether someone is bothered by discoloration, a chipped tooth, or a smile that no longer feels quite right, those concerns can be raised during an ordinary visit. The dentist can then lay out the realistic options and help the patient decide what suits their goals, all without the need to track down a separate cosmetic specialist. Having a named dentist at the center of the practice tends to give visits a more personal quality. Patients often appreciate seeing a familiar face from one appointment to the next, which makes it easier to build trust and speak openly about what is on their mind. That continuity also helps when planning longer-term treatment, since the dentist already knows the patient's history and preferences. This practice is a good match for Toledo residents on the west side who want a reliable general dentist close to home, as well as anyone interested in cosmetic improvements delivered in a comfortable, established office. Adults looking for a long-term relationship with their dentist, in particular, will find the combination of routine and aesthetic care convenient. With its accessible Talmadge Road location and its blend of everyday and cosmetic dentistry, Jon Frankel Dentistry offers patients a dependable place to maintain their oral health and pursue a brighter smile when they are ready.

Highly recommend this business to all of my coworkers, family and friends. I've always been appreciative of the care they provided me at the Toledo office, while being easy to work with scheduling appointments along with any other procedures.

I have had great experiences with frankle with not just my regular cleanings but when I had some cavities. They were not rough with my mouth at all or made anything hurt. I actually trust this dentist unlike others!

I was seen earlier today for an extraction of a bad tooth that had become infected. Remind you I was a patient here for a while with a long term care plan until a doctor extracted a tooth and left part of the root still in my mouth that was over a year ago. With being in so much pain this time, I needed something quick, and decided to give them a second chance. Lets start with the good, the assistant that took me back and prepped me and everything was great. Not the friendliest but not rude by any means and was good at what she did. The doctor was also great at what he did as far as the procedure, well, other than lightly poking me on the outside of the face with a tool as he was trying to rush and do multiple things at once. The bad, from the time the time the Dr walked into the room I felt he didnt care and it almost led to me just getting up and walking out a couple times, and just letting them charge my insurance. We introduced ourselves and I told him I was there to get an infected tooth removed, he looked at it and immediately stated that 2 more next to the infected one needed removed as well, I contested it and could tell he was irritated by it. He finally agreed that we would decide after x rays. He then starts to ask questions without even giving me time to finish answering one before asking another and giving me no time to ask my questions and ignored the couple I did manage to get out. He had to re ask multiple questions due to him either not listening or not giving me enough time to answer the first time he asked. Assistant does the x rays everything goes fine, they give me the price, and I sign the consent form. Here comes Dr. No compassion and no personality again. I'm one question in this time and he starts asking if I want to be there and if I want to do this. At this point I'm thinking no not really, there's thousands of dentist offices in toledo that accept Delta Dental insurance and would be willing to answer questions without an attitude or coming off as offended because a patient asks questions, but I'm in a lot of pain so I agree. He numbs my mouth and gets everything ready to start. I again have another question and this is when he says "you're not here to beat me up are you?" I thought he was joking so I simply respond "not yet" and laugh. He got highly irritated and said " let's not do this, I told him " I am laughing, calm down. His response, " I'm not, God put me in a position to help people so let me help you" I finally agreed and said "i came for help, you're supposed to help me, let's do it, and he finished the procedure. Only reason I give 3 stars is because the front desk, the assistant, and the women at the payment desk were great and the procedure was quick and pretty much pain free. However due to the attitude and customer care from the doctor slim chances I give a 3rd chance.

When you first walk into Dr. Frankel Dentistry, you’re greeted with warm smiles, polished branding, and what appears to be a modern, patient-focused practice. Unfortunately, what lies beneath the surface is a troubling cycle of incompetence that ultimately forces you to rely on Dr. Frankel himself—a situation that feels less like patient care and more like a carefully orchestrated sales funnel. The dentists Dr. Frankel hires to perform procedures often fall short. Whether it’s rushed work, misdiagnoses, or poor technical execution, the likelihood of needing corrective care seems uncomfortably high. The disturbing part? It seems that this failure isn’t necessarily accidental. The only reliable path to getting things actually fixed is when Dr. Frankel personally steps in. When that happens, the care improves significantly—almost like magic. But why should the bar for competent care only be met when the namesake dentist intervenes? It’s hard to shake the feeling that this might be by design: build trust, disappoint with subpar work, then swoop in personally to “save” the patient and restore confidence in the practice. Whether intentional or not, the pattern is consistent and unsettling. To be clear, Dr. Frankel himself is highly skilled and capable. When he’s involved, things get done right. But in a well-run practice, patients shouldn’t have to fail through other providers to finally earn his attention. If you’re considering this office, know that you may not get the level of care you’re expecting unless you’re persistent—or unless Dr. Frankel decides to make you his personal case. That’s a gamble you shouldn’t have to take with your dental health

I was a patient of this practice for approximately seven years and trusted them with my dental care. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. I scheduled an appointment after chipping a tooth. During the visit, I was told that a tooth with a previous root canal had cracked because it didn’t have a crown and that I would likely need the root canal redone. What upset me wasn’t just the diagnosis—it was how I was treated. I explained that I have significant dental anxiety and that I had been following the long-term treatment plan your office created years ago, completing treatment as my insurance benefits and finances allowed. Instead of compassion, I was blamed for my dental issues. I was told that fear “wasn’t an excuse,” and when I asked about payment options, the hygienist told me, “We don’t have payment plans because people don’t pay their bills,” later referring to those patients as “bad apples.” The most concerning part was being told that because I was “coming in for issues,” the office wasn’t “looking at the full picture.” As a long-term patient, I trusted my dental team to monitor my overall oral health—not just address the immediate problem in front of them. If my treatment plan needed to change or a tooth had become urgent, I expected that to be communicated before it reached the point of failure. Afterward, I sent a detailed email to the practice owner outlining my concerns and requesting an explanation. I never received a response. If you are relying on your dental team to proactively guide your care over time, I encourage you to consider that when choosing a provider.

The dentist are professionals that perform great at their job. I did have some issues with the administration staff regarding our account and payments. This was very frustrating because I had to back log my payments due to invoices being sent incorrectly and administrative staff incorrectly informing us the total on my account balance. However, by working the Frankel team regarding my account we were able to settle our complaints and they provided us with more than moderate discount for our troubles. I would work with them again because when issues arised they accepted accountability and they provided us a great service regarding dental care and my Invisalign package.

I just want to give Mason her absolute kudos. My 5 year old was anything but ideal during his appointment and Mason was an absolute pro. She stayed calm and patient, she did an incredible job maintaining professionalism while caring for us. Frankel is lucky to have her and I can’t recommend her enough.

I arrived at my scheduled dental appt today at Frankel Dentistry today. The receptionist stated that they started a new policy two months ago that you must confirm your appointment the day prior or it is cancelled. I received no notification of this policy. If a company is going to institute such a policy, I would think that they would have a text notification system in place or would have contacted me. This is extremely frustrating and infuriating.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr Hebeka and his assistant, Sherri Kay I had an abscessed tooth both my dentist of many years and a specialist I have worked with for five years told me they could see me in two weeks. I was in severe pain. I was given an appointment the very next day after contacting this office. The tooth was removed and grafted and prepped for an implant. Both the Dr and the assistant were compassionate, caring kind And explained everything to me in great detail. Ironically, this all happened on my birthday they gave me the best birthday gift ever. By 2 o’clock in the afternoon, I was pain-free felt great, and was able to have a great day I thank both of these people with my whole heart also want to Say, the rest of the staff was also awesome
