About Kaizen Dental Center

Kaizen Dental Center is located on Bishop Street in downtown Honolulu, in the city's central business district, making it a convenient stop for the professionals and residents who work and live nearby. The practice is grounded in general dentistry, delivering the cleanings, exams, and preventive care that keep teeth and gums healthy over the long run, and it keeps emergency dentistry available for the broken tooth, lost filling, or sudden ache that cannot wait for a scheduled visit. The cosmetic services here give patients a way to improve the appearance of their smile. Professional teeth whitening offers an accessible lift for enamel dulled by coffee, tea, or time, while veneers provide a more lasting route to reshape chipped, gapped, or discolored teeth. In a downtown setting full of working professionals, these services appeal to patients who value a polished look and like the convenience of handling it at the same office that manages their routine care. Dental implants add a restorative dimension to the practice. For a patient who has lost a tooth to decay, gum disease, or an accident, an implant restores both the appearance and the everyday function of chewing and speaking in a stable, natural-feeling way. Because implant treatment is offered in-house, the team can fold tooth replacement into a patient's broader plan rather than sending them to another office partway through. The full mix makes Kaizen Dental Center a convenient, well-rounded dental home for downtown Honolulu. A patient working nearby can fit in a routine cleaning, return later for whitening before an important event, and rely on the same office for restorative work or an urgent repair when needed. By keeping preventive, cosmetic, restorative, and emergency care together in one central downtown location, the practice makes it straightforward for its Honolulu patients to maintain their dental health and build a lasting relationship with a single, familiar team over the years. For the professionals who fill the downtown blocks by day, the ability to slot a cleaning or whitening into a work break, and to reach the same team quickly when a tooth fails, pairs naturally with the practice's central Bishop Street setting.

On Bishop Street in downtown Honolulu, Kaizen Dental Center offers general dentistry alongside cosmetic veneers and whitening, with dental implants and emergency care for patients needing restorative or urgent treatment.

I can’t recommend this dentist enough. I’m here on vacation and had an emergency visit. They got me in right away. The staff was amazing!

I'm gonna be as honest as I can. I am a 60 yr old local island born and raised male. I really wish that i was told that there was a $15 dollar visitation fee, and also that there was a copay due of $66 before any work could be done on my aching tooth. Looking back i could've saved time money and effort if I was told by phone call previsit why? Well because I had to find and pay Public parking across the street, then walk across the to the Dentist building to catch an elevator up to the Dentist office. After filling out my background nessasary information and doing all the preliminary X-ray and tests. Then and only then did they inform me that there was summation estimate fee before they could even start. Thena Dentists aide gave me an Antibiotic prescription which i thpugh happened after any work was done. I thought it was very inconciderate and embarrassing being it was at a bad time for me at inbetween my paydays. (Im sitting in the Dentist chair feeling totally humiliated trying to look ok. (But that's my fault I guess?) Lastly and unbenounced to me, I was informed that there was a Drs. visit fee of $14.45? So I gave the receptionist $15.00. I felt it odd that the receptionist asked me if I needed my 15 cents? (Yup?) I replied to that employee: "Excuse me, do I need my 15 cents?" He said: "Yes as he waited for my response..and I said, "No, I don't need my change, and just left the dentists office feeling humiliated and embarrassed. So you can say my visit was not an enjoyable at all, and I cannot with a good concince endorse a visit to Kaiden Dentistry. Mahalo.

Clean, efficient and great people. Dr. Kim was entertaining and focused. While taking the time to listen to my needs. I must say, the best experience I’ve had at any dental office.

Hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I broke my tooth and was more upset about having to go to the dentist vs the broken tooth. Kaizen staff totally changed that. From the appointment line, front desk staff, dental assistant, and the dentist I could not have had a better experience AND I felt NOTHING!! Highly recommend this practice, especially if you struggle with dental experiences!!

Always been afraid of going to the dentist until I had the opportunity to go to Kaizen Dental Center. I was referred by a family member and in return referred my girlfriend because that’s how awesome they are. Fast, friendly and amazing hospitality. They made me feel comfortable from the moment I made my appointment. They’ve now become my dental center even though I live an island away. Mahalo Kaizen Dental Center for taking care of me!

I would recommend kaizen dental. I’ve been to several dentists in Oahu and they are the best I’ve found and I trust them for all my dental needs. Their office and staff are very professional and seem to keep up with the latest. I chipped my tooth and Dr Kim was very thorough with my treatment. He seemed very experienced and I left feeling my tooth was restored to better than its original condition. I have come back repeatedly for cleaning with Raven who is very friendly and does a through job.

I called for an appointment from our cruise ship and they were very accommodating. I had called other offices near the port with no luck. We got there about 30 minutes before our appointment and they too me back in less than 5 minutes. The entire staff was great! They were training a new employee and he was very gentle and did a great job. It’s been almost 12 hours since they extracted my tooth and I have no pain. I haven’t taken any pain medication. I highly recommend this practice.

Was kind of scared to get a new dentist, but Yaneli was super helpful with making an appointment at Kaizen and handling my referral. Kira took great care of my teeth while making sure I was comfortable, which helped ease the usual nervousness I get in doctor's offices. Dr. Jong Kim was easy to talk to while reviewing my scans. He addressed all of my concerns, swiftly determining a plan of action. Overall, this was probably the best experience I've had at a dental office.
