About Kathryn E. Ryan DDS, MS, PA

Kathryn E. Ryan DDS, MS, PA provides dental care on Point Meadows Drive in the Deerwood area of Jacksonville, Florida. Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. Use this page to find contact information for Kathryn E. I called in to request a consultation with the Dentist however the receptionist was very rude and advised me that I would not be able to get a consultation until June! I would hope that the Dentist doesn’t have the same rude bedside manners! If so, I’m good not to use this practice as there are so many Competitors for Dental Implants!!! "

This review has been removed multiple times. I am reposting it to ensure my documented experience remains visible. A few years back, I got implant restorations and crowns at Parkway Prosthodontics. The office felt professional and friendly, which made me feel comfortable and confident choosing Dr. Ryan. But what happened in the years after my treatment beggars belief. It took several years and the help of three skilled, understanding, and compassionate dentists to fix the dental work Dr. Ryan did for me. When I shared my experience online before, Dr. Ryan replied by posting screenshots of private messages about my treatment. I never gave her permission for those messages to be shared. I am telling my story so other patients can have the information they need to make their own decisions. © Sorina C. Susnea - original patient review.

Once again if I could give Dr. Ryan and her amazing staff 10 stars I would. Dr. Ryan gave me my life back. I had been without teeth for several years and she worked tirelessly with me to come up with the perfect solution. I’ve had my dentures since June and my life is so much better. I can eat foods that I hadn’t been able to and go out and feel confident in public. A special shout out to Rebecca for her friendliness and kindness. To the rest of the staff thank you for your professionalism and compassion. It was very much appreciated.

I broke a tooth on my hybrid yesterday, and was recommended to Dr. Ryan. Dr. Ryan and her staff took excellent care of me today. Removed my hybrid and had it completely repaired and reinforced and placed back in hours later. Thank you so much!!

I would like to say, this is hands down a phenomenal practice! I am traveling from out of town and I have been in dental for 20 years! I was initially intrigued by their website and how easy it was to navigate. (That is what prompted me to call) I called to schedule an appointment and the scheduling coordinator greeted me with a smile! (I knew they were friendly) They were very accommodating and helpful. The patient hand off was flawless. The staff discussed all financials with me prior to treatment. They were not misleading and completely professional. (The specials are nice too) Dr. Ryan was Amazing! She explained everything in great detail to me. I did not feel rushed. She was thorough, knowledgeable and patient. (Great chair side manner) Dr. Ryan explained all treatment options available…and leaned more on the conservative side and that is what you want in an Aesthetics Dental Professional! As a current Practice Manager, years as an instructor, working clinical and in the lab, I say…. Dr. Ryan and her staff, are Amazing! They work well together and it shows! The communication is Fabulous! The website is Great! You are greeted with a Smile! The treatment plan is easy to understand! Fantastic preoperative and postoperative photos. Documentation is key not only for practice but for patients as well! (Proof is in the pudding) Everyone knows their role! Great job guys! You get an A+ from me! I may be 5 hours away but you will be my new home away from home! -Lauren
