About Kempter Dentistry - Charlotte

Based on Pineville-Matthews Road in the Carmel area of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kempter Dentistry - Charlotte is a dental practice serving the area. Holistic, or biological, dentistry applies standard dental diagnosis and treatment within an approach that emphasises material choice and conservative treatment, considering oral health as connected to the body more broadly rather than treating the mouth in isolation.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward. Is biological or holistic dentistry more expensive?
It can be, since ceramic and composite materials and more conservative techniques sometimes cost more than the cheapest alternative. Pricing varies by practice, so it is worth asking directly rather than assuming.
What is the difference between holistic and cosmetic dentistry?
They overlap but are not the same thing. Cosmetic dentistry is about appearance specifically, while holistic dentistry is a broader philosophy about material choice and treating the mouth as connected to overall health, which can apply to any treatment including cosmetic work.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
Every six months suits most people. If you have gum disease or a history of decay a dentist may suggest coming more often. The point of regular visits is mostly to catch problems while they are still small and cheap to treat.

This place is a joke. They take forever to get things back from the lab. This is due to them having a cash flow issue. They can not pay the lab and vendors which puts the patient in limbo waiting. Then they call you and lie about your case delay. His assistants are loud and unprofessional. While getting a cleaning, they are talking about inappropriate things and loud so all can hear. To be a holistic office, you would think they have some level of etiquette. I would run far away from this place unless you want mediocre dental work and dealing with incompetent staff. They have been having a hard time with finding a keeping the front staff which is a red flag. The last 2 seemed amazing and then next time I go, its a new face. This is not good and shows a huge lack of consistency and trust. It took me forever to get my treatment planned from the lady who is never in the office to be reached. Again this place is a JOKE!!!!!!!

5Stars? 10 STARS What would normally be an anxious visit to any dental office was the complete opposite here! This was my 2nd visit and just like the first, I was welcomed with friendly faces and beautiful smiles (no pun intended). From the receptionist to Dr Eric, They make you feel like a person rather than a patient! The office is clean and inviting. The fact that they practice holistic care is a plus. I have been living with dental humiliation and disaster over the past few years, and my concerns were addressed, my treatment plan was explained in detail , and for the first time I feel hopeful! I am actually looking forward to my future visits and can’t wait to see the end result!

If you don’t want the best holistic dentist and would rather go to mercury loving conventional dentists then this is not the place for you. Dr. Kempter and his team have always been professional but more importantly very kind and respectful. They get A+ in best practices, accountability and professionalism. If they guarantee something they back it. For example I had a crown that got a crack on it after two years and they replaced the crown at no cost, that’s the kind of integrity that is rare to see these days. I see some people complain, oh they don’t take insurance. Let me clarify something very critical about insurance game: If you have insurance, almost always the medical expenses are billed 2-5x as if you did not have insurance, so you end up paying both to insurance company and overpay for your medical care anyways. Don’t believe me? Look at insurance stocks, they are the only companies that always go up without exception. Fact check it. Is that because insurance companies add so much value? Or is it because the insurance companies are a clever organized scam? If you are someone who prefers holistic dental paradigm in contrast to insurance backed mercury loving conventional dentists then Dr. Kempter is the best choice.

I just had major work done on my upper teeth at Kempter Dentistry. All new crowns. I have never smiled so much in my life! My teeth look great and feel great. The team at Kempter not only does A+ work, they have an A+ atmosphere. You feel it when you enter the office!

I can honestly say that my experience at Kempter Dentistry was by far the easiest and most stress free visit that I have ever had at any dental office. I went to them because another dental provider did a full examination of my teeth and told me I needed a ton of work and several deep cleaning sessions which I wasn’t comfortable with. After my visit to Kempter I was informed that almost none of the work I was quoted was necessary. My hygienist James was professional, honest, and thorough and the cleaning that he did was amazing. I appreciate that I was given an honest assessment and not a bunch of scare tactics and upselling of services. I highly recommend Kempter Dentistry to anyone looking for a top notch dentist.
