Practice team members are trained in disability awareness at the practice and attend appropriate external courses such as 'Deaf Awareness' provided by the Cumbria Deaf Association. Our practice has made provision for patients with disability by providing ramp access from street level, disabled toilet facilities and models, illustrated patient information and hand mirrors to help describe various treatment options. Our adult patients are treated under our Denplan Schemes and the practice has an NHS contract with Cumbria PCT which enables free treatment to children under 18. We are proud to have been accepted into the British Dental Association’s Good Practice Scheme.
