A positive experience overall, everyone was very kind and I experienced no additional difficulty due to being a new patient.

I had a really upsetting experience with this dental office, and I would not recommend them. To start, the communication and overall professionalism were lacking. The office felt disorganized, and I didn’t feel like I was treated with much care or understanding as a patient. What really crossed the line for me, though, was how they handled a personal situation. I had to miss an appointment unexpectedly because I had to leave out of state due to my grandfather passing away. Instead of showing any kind of compassion or understanding, I was told by the manager that I could not come back because of the missed appointment. That response felt incredibly insensitive and honestly shocking, given the circumstances. Life happens, and situations like that are completely out of a person’s control. The lack of empathy and professionalism in that moment told me everything I needed to know about how they treat their patients. There are plenty of dental offices that understand real life situations and treat people with respect and compassion. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. I will not be returning.

Dr Ryan and staff are amazing! They are very nice and respectful and thorough! I had a wonderful experience during my visits thanks to Nina and how friendly and good Dr Ryan is! I would highly recommend this office and Dr Ryan to anybody looking for a very good dentist and office!!

I have been going here for a while now and I have to say the entire Staff there is Amazing! Dr. Ryan is great and so is the staff around him from the hygienists to the office staff. Very polite and respectful every time that I’m in there! I could not be happier!

As someone who has a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist, because of past (terrible) experiences, I have nothing but positive things to say about my first few appointments here. Holly, Nina and Dr. Ryan have made me feel comfortable, not judged and happy to be there while having dental work done. They are cautious, explain everything very well and actually care deeply about me as a patient.

I've been a patient of Dr. Ryan Maine since he was with Dr. Bob's, and then started his own practice at the same location in Kenmore. I was very pleased with his care, so I recommended my daughter to go there too. They told her that our insurance was accepted there and, at her first appt, they told her they needed to obtain "comprehensive X-rays" for all new patients. So, of course, she got the X-rays done. When she returned for a filling, they told her she owed $200 for the X-rays, and they expected payment before any services could be done. My daughter asked if they could just send me the bill (which I saw had just arrived in the mail the day before and hadn't opened it yet). My daughter was completely unaware and was upset that they cancelled her appt that she took off work for, without any prior notice. She then got more upset when then said they were going to charge her a $50 "no show" fee for the visit they cancelled that she had shown up for! So I called our insurance co., and they said they only cover comprehensive X-rays every 3 years (the interval varies w/different insurances), and she would be due in June 2026 for those. We could have waited till then, had we been informed! In short, Dr. Ryan's practice never submitted a "predetermination of benefits" to our insurance co. prior to her first visit, knowing they would require comprehensive X-rays (we weren't informed of this ahead of time). They also never attempted to obtain her prior dental records or tell her to get them sent to them. To make matters worse, when I tried to call the office back to discuss with the manager, Nina, she hung the phone up on me! I had requested to speak directly to Dr. Ryan, but was unable to get that message through, so I showed up at the practice and waited politely till he was done with his last patient. Instead of bringing me into his office, he made me sit awkwardly (sideways) on an exam chair while he stood 12 inches away looking down at me with his arms folded. Astonishingly, he supported his manager hanging up on me because "obviously nothing was getting accomplished over the phone," and he said it was the patient's responsibility to know what their insurance covers and does not (and apparently what his practice requires and does not). He admitted that sometimes his staff submit the predetermination requests to ins. companies and sometimes they don't. When I questioned such a dubious business model and asked him about a remedy, he said "I'll think about it," then turned and walked out of the room and never returned. I've never heard back from him. Unfortunately, this is NOT a practice that respects its patients. If you value your money and your time, I would advise finding another practice!

Dr Ryan and staff are AMAZING! Definitely would recommend. If you are looking for a dentist that is compassionate and kind and caring this the the place! You won't regret it!

Annette is hands down the best dental hygienist I’ve ever had. She’s incredibly meticulous, and after every cleaning, my teeth feel so cleaned. I’ve been seeing her for three years now, and her consistency and attention to detail always impress me. She’s also a great listener and always addresses my concerns thoughtfully and appropriately. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent dental cleanings.

Dr Gretchen and Kristen were amazing! I have a “dentist phobia” and they made my experience painless! I never thought having 4 teeth removed would be such an easy and painless process! Highly recommend!

Dr Gretchen and Kristen were amazing. Phenomenal hospitality and an easy wisdom teeth removal process. Still in my recovery phase but it’s going smooth as of now. Can’t wait to eat a Cheeseburger or some Chicken haha. Thanks so much!

Dr Gretchen and Kristen are absolute angels on earth. I have never met more compassionate and caring individuals…ever. I have an INSANE fear of the dentist but these two woman eased my mind about my treatment plan. Their level of care was extraordinary and I’d give them 10 stars if I could!
