About La Clinica Del Pueblo
La Clínica del Pueblo is located at 2831 15th Street Northwest in Washington DC's 20009 zip code — the Columbia Heights neighborhood, one of DC's most densely Latin American communities. La Clínica del Pueblo, translated as "The People's Clinic," is one of the DC area's most important community health organizations providing culturally competent healthcare to the Latino immigrant community. Founded in 1983 to serve the Central American refugees who arrived in DC during the civil wars of that decade, La Clínica has grown into a federally qualified health center (FQHC) with multiple sites across the DC Metro area.
As a federally qualified health center, La Clínica del Pueblo operates on a sliding-scale fee basis, meaning patients pay based on their income rather than at market rates. This makes dental care at La Clínica accessible to uninsured and underinsured patients who cannot afford private dental fees, including undocumented immigrants who do not qualify for Medicaid. Dental services at La Clínica cover preventive examinations, professional cleanings, restorative treatments, extractions, and emergency dental management.
The 15th Street NW Columbia Heights location places La Clínica in the heart of DC's Latino community, surrounded by the Latin American restaurants, markets, and cultural organizations that make Columbia Heights one of DC's most vibrant immigrant neighborhoods. Services are delivered in Spanish and English by bilingual staff, removing the language barriers that make healthcare inaccessible for Spanish-only patients in mainstream healthcare settings.
For DC's Latino immigrant community — particularly uninsured, undocumented, or low-income patients who need dental care in Spanish with a provider who understands the cultural and legal context of their lives — La Clínica del Pueblo at 15th Street NW is among the most important dental access points in the city.
Federally qualified health center at 2831 15th St NW in Columbia Heights DC, providing bilingual Spanish-English dental and health care on a sliding-scale fee basis for the Latino immigrant community.

I am writing to express my frustration regarding the difficulty I have been experiencing when trying to contact the clinic and schedule or follow up on appointments. First, I am unable to use the patient portal because it does not function properly. Every time I log in and try to check information, the system logs me out, making it impossible to access my account or communicate through the portal. In addition, I have spent hours on the phone both yesterday and today trying to reach someone. The automated system repeatedly informed me that there was only one caller ahead of me, but despite waiting for a long time, no one answered my call. At this point, I would like to know what the best way is to reach the clinic. I need assistance, but I have been unable to get through by phone or through the patient portal. I would appreciate a response with guidance on how I can successfully contact your office and receive assistance.
The best community clinic. Newley remodule reception and friendly staff.
They really help.
Good physicians, but as the reviews mention, the front desk responsiveness leaves a lot to be desired
“I’ve been coming to this clinic for a while now, and every visit has been consistently positive. The team is knowledgeable, caring, and efficient. The atmosphere is welcoming and well-managed. Jazmin at the front desk deserves special recognition — she is attentive, polite, and always goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. Truly excellent service.”
There’s this obnoxious big girl up front as receptionist with a bunch of tattoos on her arm and pinkish hair. So loud and rude announcing how much we owe to the clinic and had to embarrass us like that when I came here for an event. Please be respectful and no so loud and obnoxious. Aside from her love the therapist and doctors.
