De Chen is a very gifted holistic oral surgeon . It is highly unusual to find a dentist of this caliber! I wish I had found her sooner !

Huge conflict of interest with this doctor. Overprices for ozone. WILL leave the country in the middle of your treatment and will not ensure that you get proper ozone therapy to ensure the results while she's away for 2 months. (All it would have taken is a referral to another dentist.. but her greed got in the way.) This is what happened to me and I lost a lot of money and also a tooth because of it. Not a true holistic dentist (if she pulls these kinds of stunts) more after money. Very sad to see people like this in the health industry. If you do use this dentist, make sure that you follow the strict protocol for ozone. Make sure ahe is not going to go away for 2 months so that all of the ozone goes to waste. You have to consistently treat the area for several months for it to work depending on the severity of the infection. (And you also need a keto diet and to eliminate all sugars and 90% of carbs)...do the ozone this way and consistently..and it will work. Otherwise, she is not a bad doctor. Just needs more consistent front office staff and if she was a little kinder to her staff, it would make it a much more pleasant experience as well. Gave her four stars cuz she was rude to me on the phone after I spent a lot of money there and made all my VERY COSTLY ozone treatments go to waste when she left for two months without referring me to someone else to continue the PROPER OZONE PROTOCOL. When you care about your patients, this is what you do. You make sure the job is done right and the treatment protocol is obeyed. If you want the treatment to work. Period. Thank you for the good work you did, you could have done better. Hopefully this review will help the doctor to have more integrity and passion to heal - with her future patients.

Dr. Chen and staff are all wonderful, kind and knowledgeable! Dr. Chen dedicated an afternoon to complete an extraction and bone graft. The process was smooth. I appreciate Dr. Chen and Karen’s bed side manner and humor! June has been prompt to schedule and communicate with me. Very pleased with my experience. Thank you to all!

This is a HORRIBLE place & I hope noone has to go through what I experienced. The receptionist is unkind, there was noone in office and I sat waiting for 45 minutes just for the dentist to come in & noone took the paperboard clipboard from me. The dentist looks very unhappy like she dislikes her job as well as people. Hides behind you and won't communicate and had to turn around in chair just to ask her question which was like pulling teeth, no pun intended. She was doing things with her gloves and using computers and proceeded to put her dirty gloves in my mouth, so unsanitary. I had never heard of Ozone treatment before and researched it and read it was toxic to humans so I asked her about it and she told me to think , implying I was stupid. Zero compassion and kindness from this lady! I had pain as I have receeeding gums and injury and she was blowing air on it and I let her know where it hurt and she said I was overreacting and refused to finish treatment and help me and insulted me more and I was paying her cash! Very disappointing and she will be reported to dental board. If anyone knows of a good, kind compassionate holistic dentist please share and don't waste your time in an unfriendly non patient care atmosphere! Hope this helps someone

Dr Chen and her team are the kindest, gentlest and I have complete confidence in them. I have never felt safe at the dentist (my own history of dental anxiety) but I do with them. Not only that, I was seeking methods and treatments that are completely non-toxic and health-focused like they have here. So glad I found them!

Honestly, I’ve always hated the dentist, but La Jolla Center for Holistic Dentistry has changed my mind. After finding out that I had a bunch of old mercury fillings in my mouth from past bad dentist experiences... I was in search for a way to remove them safely. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with with an amazing staff at the La Jolla Center for Holistic Dentistry. Dr Chen did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and confident in removing my fillings in a safe and Holistic way. She is extremely knowledgeable and a true gem in the field of dentistry. She is years beyond the standard dentist and provides new, innovative, and a holistic approach to taking care of your teeth. I highly recommend the La Jolla Center for Holistic dentistry :) I am confident that I will keep going back to this wonderful place for all my future dentistry needs.

Dr.Chen is very kind and compassionate. I came to her with a badly infected root canal and she gave me ozone shots to the site which immediately helped. At the time of redoing the root canal, she advised a tooth extraction. She did this work with great compassion, care and thoroughness. She also flushed the site with more ozone to take care of remaining infection. I feel like a million times better from all the treatment she has done on this for me. She is really committed and dedicated to a patients well being. I can't recommend her enough!!
