About Langley Dental Care
Langley Dental Care operates on Rachel Freeman Way in the Dixie - Berryhill area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.
Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.
Traditional braces use brackets and wires to gradually move teeth into alignment, handling complex bite corrections and significant crowding more predictably than removable alternatives. Treatment commonly runs one to three years, with a retainer worn afterward to hold the result.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it. I had a porcelain cap put on yesterday at Langley Dental. The procedure was painless and the deadening was reversed Willie this procedurewas done! IT was a great procedureI and pain was gone after a few minutes! I felt no pain after the deadening!!!😌
I fully trust this dentist and this office- which is important as I need a lot of work done. Dr. Langley gave me a treatment plan based upon best practice- and thoroughly explained it. She fully respected my opinion on it- and treats healthcare like a partnership. Dr. Langley did a wonderful job, taking into account my concerns and timeline- and worked with me to draft a plan forward that meets my financial goals and the health of my mouth. On a personal level- this dentist will have you laughing! She is super funny and personable. This is a very high quality office- I wanted the best care…. I read reviews, asked around etc. Happy to have found her! Also the two dental assistants I met are great, the hygienist was super thorough (my teeth look great- Thank you!) and Nicole, in the office, has the most delicate touch when telling you how much dental care costs and how insurance works.
Received an additional bill 3 months after my exam & check up despite me already paying what they said I owed them. Their answer was to "check my insurance EOB". I know that the insurance claims are probably the issue, but I did not appreciate receiving a demand for additional payment without any detail. I've canceled my subsequent appointments and will find somewhere else. They will try and upsell teeth whitening, invisalign, emails selling tooth brushes etc. Too much of a hustle. Very nice office though & everyone I spoke to in person was friendly.
There was some disappointment with the follow-up after my first visit in 2025. However, after I addressed my concerns, Dr. Langley took immediate action to ensure her team stayed on top of their responsibilities and provided the level of care her patients deserve. I truly appreciate her responsiveness and commitment to patient care.
Dr.Langley and the entire staff are so nice and welcoming. As soon as you walk in the door, Nicole and the other ladies are always so helpful and happy to see you. I left my last dentist to come here because my husband highly recommended this practice. So happy I switched.
I have the same problem with this customer. "Upon check in I requested to waive X rays. I was told that was not an option and that X rays were mandatory." "After I go through all the scans, X rays and pictures I get walked through a treatment plan." "We then head to a consultation room where I’m told the deep cleaning they have recommended is over" $1600. " Additionally, they let me know they are unable to do a traditional cleaning" and offer me a payment plan option for the deep cleaning. I asked again to be sure I understood, and they refused to schedule me for just a regular cleaning". "Now, I’ve done my exam at this dentist and will not be able to get a cleaning with them." I have to pay $302.15 for that visit. "Do not recommend this Dentist at all, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a dentist. I scheduled an appointment for a check up and cleaning and was bait & switched, given an exam first and then was refused the service I actually scheduled. Extremely unethical to take advantage of a patient that way."
This place is excellent. Excellent excellent excellent. The service was fantastic. Each visit the place was clean, the reception was kind and friendly and the nurses plus Dr. Langley were very knowledgeable about what was going on with my teeth plus what I needed. I found this place on accident as I was originally scheduled somewhere else but didn't realize it wasn't here. The reception said if I wasn't happy with the place I was supposed to be at I can just visit them. So I did and very glad she suggested it! I love how they wear pink gloves and it just feels very woman friendly. Everyone there also seems happy to work there. I just experienced and issue with my teeth that Dr. Langley warned me about. I wish I listened lol. The only is 4 stars was because there seemed to be a consistent issue with billing. Like they would give me a price, I'd pay it and then they'd come back saying I made a mistake and that I owed more. The accountant would write out the bill breakdown on a sheet of paper. I didn't like the billing situation at all. But I do like this office a lot.
What an unexpected pleasure this first visit to Dr. Kari Langley’s office turned out to be. I had hoped for competence; instead, I experienced something close to genuine care. From the moment I walked in, clinic manager Nicole was the very picture of charm, kindness, and highly knowledgeable professionalism. Dr. Langley herself was superb—thorough, clear, and equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment that revealed a deteriorating crown needing replacement. But it was April, the hygienist, who truly astonished me. She approached my mouth as though it were something rare and worth protecting, working with such patience, precision, and respect that I felt she was giving me back something I didn’t even know I’d lost. After nearly one and a half hours, I checked out—still a bit dazed by the meticulous, compassionate care I received. An extraordinary dental experience. Highly recommended.
