About Legacy Dental Group

Based on North 51st Avenue in the Deer Valley area of Glendale, Arizona, Legacy Dental Group is a dental practice serving the area. Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. Is sedation dentistry safe?
It is considered safe when properly assessed and monitored, which is why your medical history and current medications matter beforehand. Being open about those is the main thing that keeps it safe.
Can sedation help with dental phobia?
It is one of the main reasons people use it. For patients who have avoided treatment for years, sedation often makes the first appointment possible, and some become more comfortable with routine care afterward.
Why do dentists take X-rays?
Decay between teeth and problems below the gumline are invisible to the naked eye, so X-rays are what reveal them. Modern digital images use a low dose and are taken only when clinically justified.

Friendly staff. Always willing to help and answer questions. Dr Core has been my dentist for over 25 years. Family man who contributes voluntarily to the community. No complaints, only good experiences over the years. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone.

Dr. Core, You, your wife and staff have been on my mind a lot lately. While I haven't been a patient in several years, the impact you all had on me, my life and so many others you stepped up to help, is something I can never forget and it still warms my heart to this day! Just know that I never forgot and I speak very highly of our experiences after all the trauma we endured at the hands of others. You and your staff were so generous and gracious in helping us restore what was damaged and gave us all hope for a better future. You gave us our lives and smiles back and you will forever be our hero! For those of you looking for an amazing team who cares about you and will take care of you, these folks are your people! Thank you Dr. Core for being the amazing dentist and human being you are! All the best!

Legacy Dental Group is the kindest, most understanding team. They do not take advantage of people. I went in with the worst pain ever in my jaw. They listened to me explain it while I was crying badly. They took X-rays, looked at my teeth and jaw and explained exactly what happened. I was so thankful of the outcome and could not thank them enough. I highly recommend them. They are the best team ever.

I had a wonderful experience at this dentist office. Everyone is incredibly nice and welcoming, which really helped put me at ease. I usually have high anxiety when visiting the dentist, but hygienist Paty was so kind and gentle she truly eased my nerves. I highly recommend this office for anyone looking for caring and professional dental care.
