About Lentz Public Health Center

Charlotte Avenue at 2500, Nashville TN 37209, is in the Sylvan Park and West Nashville corridor — Charlotte Avenue is one of Nashville's major east-west commercial arterials, connecting the Sylvan Park neighborhood west of White Bridge Road to downtown Nashville through the ZIP 37209 corridor. The 2500 block of Charlotte Avenue is in the mid-Sylvan Park section of this arterial, in ZIP 37209 which covers the Sylvan Park, Richland Creek, and West Nashville communities.

Lentz Public Health Center at this Charlotte Avenue address is a public health facility — the Nashville Metro Public Health Department's dental services location at Lentz. Unlike private dental practices, a public health center dental clinic is operated by the municipality and funded to serve patients regardless of their ability to pay commercial rates, offering income-based fee schedules or subsidized care to uninsured and underinsured Nashville residents. The Lentz Public Health Center is one of the Metro Nashville Department of Public Health's primary community health facilities.

General dental services at a public health center cover the foundational preventive and basic restorative care that forms the safety net of dental access: examinations, X-rays, cleanings, basic fillings, and extractions. The emphasis in public health dental programs is on prevention and basic care that prevents small dental problems from escalating into painful and expensive emergencies, particularly for patients who lack the financial means to access private-practice dentistry.

Charlotte Avenue at 2500 is accessible by Nashville WeGo bus on the Charlotte Avenue corridor — one of Nashville's primary transit spines with frequent WeGo service — and by car from the surrounding Sylvan Park and West Nashville residential neighborhoods. The public health center's position on the Charlotte Avenue transit corridor maximizes access for patients who rely on public transit.

For Nashville residents in ZIP 37209 and the broader Nashville community seeking public health dental services at a municipality-operated facility, Lentz Public Health Center at 2500 Charlotte Avenue provides that subsidized and community-accessible dental care option on Nashville's West Nashville Charlotte Avenue public health corridor.

I have been using Lentz WIC clinic since 2022 and I can’t stress enough what a wonderful experience it has been compared to other WiC clinics in other countries. Such sweet understanding employees and always helpful. The lactation consultant I had was incredible as well and would contact me any time I requested help.

Management and Staff are uneducated on what the laws are for video taping in a public building and the 1st amendment on the United States of America's Constitution. Looks as a lot of entitled government workers afraid that their rude and unprofessional behavior will be made public.

My wife had a lung pneumonia last year. Not really bad case but it needed treatment No other major issues, after she is treated at centennial and released in good health condition Metro and this clinic took over further case claiming that she had TB sometimes in past, without any proof. After all check ups and blood work no traces of any diseases or TB were found. Well LENTZ is treating her like she is treat to the public. This ppl are soo aggressive in their approach. After a 6 monts she is still taking medication and no end to it. They are very unprofessional without any clear answers until when, or what they are doing. I got the feeling they are getting money from gov. And CDC for every patient. And longer they keep patients. More money they getting. My wife is perfectly ok. But this ppl are making her sick with excessive amount of medicine. Demands they are asking are crazy. I will start looking into legal advices and look into lawyers. Also this clinic needs to be on the list of the excessive government unnecessary spending. They are not treating sick. They ARE MAKING People SICK..
