The older front desk rep called me asking if I wanted to reschedule by coming in on an earlier date to fill in an appointment that someone else had canceled last minute. I told her that it should work even though it was so last minute. I tried getting child care as quickly as I could and I called the next day because I realized I wouldn't be able to make it, but that I could still make my original appointment. She then asked me why I couldn't make it. I explained why, which felt odd, as I didn't think I had to explain myself. And then she immediately informed me that I would have to pay a $50 cancelation fee, which felt wrong considering I was trying to do them a favor by filling in for someone else who had canceled on a previously scheduled appointment. She sounded upset and had a rude sounding tone even before I said I didn't think I should have to pay for rescheduling it. She then continued onto say that they would be sending it to collections if I didn't pay it. The whole experience felt super unprofessional and unwarranted. I switched to a different dentist after that at Dental Love and have had a much better experience.
