About Long Beach Smiles Dentistry

Long Beach Smiles Dentistry is set on East Stearns Street in the Los Altos neighborhood, a residential stretch of east Long Beach where a nearby dental office becomes part of the routine rather than a cross-town errand. The practice keeps its focus on the foundations of oral health, which makes it a comfortable everyday home for people in the area who simply want to stay on top of their teeth. The core of the work is general dentistry paired with regular dental cleanings, the preventive care that keeps minor issues from snowballing into bigger, costlier ones. For families and individuals around Los Altos, that means a reliable place to handle checkups, professional cleanings, and the ordinary maintenance that protects a smile over the long term, without needing to bounce between multiple offices for the basics. What broadens the appeal is the availability of sedation dentistry. Dental anxiety is common, and for some patients it's the very thing that keeps them away from the chair for years at a time. By offering a calmer, sedation-supported route through appointments, the practice gives nervous patients a realistic way to get the care they've been avoiding, and reassures anyone who tenses up at the thought of treatment that their comfort is part of the plan. There's also a clear emphasis on affordability, which suits a neighborhood practice serving working households and individuals watching their budgets. Keeping cost in view makes it easier for patients to stay consistent with the preventive visits that matter most. The blend of priorities here, routine care, a calmer experience for anxious patients, and an eye on cost, tends to suit the everyday rhythm of a residential neighborhood like Los Altos. People aren't looking for a destination clinic; they want a dependable local office where the basics are handled well and the visit doesn't feel like a hurdle. Keeping the practice close to home and approachable in tone is exactly what helps patients stay consistent over the years rather than only showing up when something hurts. For east Long Beach residents who want straightforward general care close to home, especially those who've struggled with dental fear or simply want an accessible, no-fuss option, Long Beach Smiles Dentistry lands as a practical, welcoming choice for keeping their oral health on track.

Long Beach Smiles Dentistry sits on East Stearns Street in the Los Altos neighborhood, offering general dentistry and cleanings with sedation options for anxious patients, plus an emphasis on affordable, accessible care for the surrounding east Long Beach community.

“Dr. Marian Abdallah and Y Thi Nguyen were absolutely amazing! They helped me so much with my teeth cleaning and fixing many dental issues. They were both very kind, professional, patient, and made me feel comfortable during every visit. The office was clean, welcoming, and the whole staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were great and very reasonable for the amazing care I received. I truly appreciate all their hard work and highly recommend this office to anyone looking for excellent dental care!”

I just had the craziest, loudest, messiest, most chaotic dental cleaning of my life. Half the staff were rude, half were nice but really pushing their sales numbers. One sweet person was clearly encountering teeth for the very first time, but they tried. The place seems run down; the room and chair look like they have seen some things. The water hose dripped all over me, the floor, and everything. I declined all the upgrades, but they tried to charge me anyway. I signed a bunch of forms I didn’t even get to review. Also, my teeth don’t even feel clean. What just happened to me? It was a clown show, top to bottom. I did not know a simple cleaning could be this unpleasant.

Been coming here for years. Nice staff and considerate. I recently did a deep cleaning/irrigation/lasers with “Y” and she was the sweetest and most gentle hygienist I have met. I didn’t even need anesthesia. And yes her name is Y!

Always a bit nervous when coming to get teeth worked on, but the great workers here make it as comfortable as they can. All the staff here are so approachable, warm, welcoming. This is the reason I been coming to them since Covid. Supposed to come in for regular clean, but unfortunately I had to do deep clean. As if I wasn’t nervous already, but Y the hygienist was so great. She explained to me all the things she will do and to ease any tension she put music in the background as she went to work. The music definitely calmed me, but majority of the credit must go to Y for her care, thoughtfulness. Not gonna lie, my teeth needed work, ugh. I can tell you after all she did my teeth felt spankin new again. Felt smooth, refined, refreshed, clean. Thank you Y for what you did for me today and making me feel comfortable. After the procedure Doc came to check on me. I love this guy, he knows me really well. Not that I’m anyone special, I’m sure Doc is like this with all his patients. I really appreciate him always letting me know in detail what I need to do to keep the care of my teeth and what I should look into in the future, I trust Docs recommendation. Thanks for all the care after all these years, you’re the best. Thank you to all the staff here from the kind front desk ladies checking me in and out and the awesome girl that did the X-ray. Many more years to come :) God bless you all.

I’ve been a patient at LB Smiles for years and have always received excellent care from the dentist and hygienist. Unfortunately, the billing department has been consistently unresponsive, and customer service seems to have declined recently. After my recent visit for a routine cleaning, I had to call my insurer myself to verify coverage since the receptionist was busy. Delta Dental confirmed the services were preventive and should not have been subject to a deductible. Although another staff assured me I’d be refunded, I’ve yet to receive that billing refund. If you’re considering this office, be aware that while the dental service is great, the administrative side may cause unnecessary stress and frustration.

I had a great experience at LB Smiles, largely thanks to Liz, the hygienist. She made me feel comfortable throughout the session, always checking in to ensure I was doing okay. The clinic itself is clean and has a welcoming environment. Most importantly, I am extremely satisfied with the results. Liz did a EXCELLENT job, and my teeth have never felt cleaner. I highly recommend LB Smiles, especially if you're looking for a thorough and pleasant dental experience.

Let me start off by saying that I HATE coming to the dentist. I’ve had some rough experiences, especially with heavy handed hygienists, however, Long Beach Smiles Dentistry went above and beyond to alleviate my anxiety. Dr. Abdalla was amazing. I would even go as far as to call her the nicest and sweetest dentists I’ve ever had. She is super attentive, detailed when educating her patients, and makes sure to acknowledge what you are doing well. As simple as that may sound, that went a long way for me. She also made sure to acknowledge my anxiety as opposed to being dismissive. Next, I had my deep cleaning. I was scheduled with Y, and since this was my first cleaning in a while (yes I know, don’t judge), I was nervous about it. As ridiculous as this may sound, I actually enjoyed my deep cleaning. That girl has the hands of an angel and is incredibly gentle. She also went above and beyond to create an environment that was perfect for relaxation. She had the music going along with her defuser. My experience was so positive I made sure to sit in my car to write my review to make sure I did not forget. Y is nothing short of wonderful and I thank her for changing my perception of deep cleanings. As long as I’m a patient here, no one is touching me but Y! If you are anything like me when it comes to going to the dentist, this is the place for you. And make sure to schedule with Dr. Abdalla and Y. Thank you both so much!
