Lotus Dental Wellness - Holistic Dentistry & Ceramic Dental Implants

I would not recommend Lotus Dental based on my experience. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 a.m., but I was not brought back until nearly 10:00 a.m. Once I was finally seen, the intake process felt unusually slow and disorganized. The dental assistant appeared inexperienced and seemed to struggle with routine tasks, which contributed to my appointment lasting nearly four hours. During the exam, I was told I needed nearly $50,000 worth of dental work and that two teeth with older root canals needed to be extracted immediately due to a serious infection. This was surprising, as I had no pain, no symptoms, and no concerns with those teeth. Because the treatment recommendations seemed extreme, I sought a second opinion from another dentist about a month later. After reviewing new imaging and performing a comprehensive exam, they found no evidence of infection and did not recommend the extractions or extensive treatment plan that had been proposed. My husband had a similar experience, receiving a treatment plan exceeding $25,000 for dental work that another provider later felt was unnecessary. Between the long delays, the disorganized office experience, and the vastly different findings from a second opinion, I left with little confidence in the recommendations I received. I would strongly encourage anyone considering major dental treatment to obtain a second opinion before proceeding.

Amazingly wonderful people!!! I have been blown away by their kindness, care, and expertise. In the past 5 years, I have seen 8 other dentists, 3 of whom were holistic dentists. None of them could resolve my persistent pain and issues, and I even had some horrific experiences with one of the holistic dentists. I was afraid to trust any dentist again. Lotus Dental is full of compassionate, highly-skilled professionals. They have found the missing keys that the other dentists missed, and I finally have hope that I can have a pain-free mouth. They have definitely won my trust. Their office is full of people who do everything to make me comfortable and happy. I finally know I am in the right hands. I truly don't feel my words can do justice. I feel incredibly thankful to have found this wonderful place.

Dr. Delong comes across as a caring individual at first but watch out if you have issues with his work. He will not work with you on correcting these issues. He refuses to listen to any pain or uncomfortable feelings you might have of improperly fitted crowns, stating "everything fits as it should." I would seriously think twice before getting crowns done here.

The absolute best!

For the past few years I have been working diligently with my functional doctor and a nutritionist. Gut test after gut test I was showing parasites and yeast. Yeast in a gut test usually means metal toxicity (my Dr. said “Tiffany, you’d have to be exposed to mercury to have this happen”) I eat super clean and am very active, yet I kept gaining weight. My hormones are balanced and I seemed to be very healthy, but just couldn’t figure out what was causing the gut issues. Something wasn’t right, the yeast was keeping me from absorbing supplements and being able to get rid of the parasites. My nutritionist does a pod cast with a different Holistic dentist and recommended I see one incase my root cause is in my mouth. I have had many root canals and crowns in my life. Well, I was a ding dong and didn’t realize I still had a mercury filling (thought I had them replaced in my 20’s, 50’s now). Dr. Han removed the filling and found mercury build up under multiple old crowns, one was leaky as well. I wish I could explain to you what happened to my body in just the first week after leaving her office. Now mind you, I was prepped with supplements to do a metal detox afterwards per my nutritionist. Drum role the tears please… in 9 days I lost 11lbs, I wasn’t bloating after every bite of food (still haven’t felt bloated), my skin completely cleared up. AND, for the past year I wake up with excruciating lower back pain and it was getting substantially worse by the week. I thought we needed a new mattress… NOPE, my kidneys were in overload at night and nothing was cleaning out properly because of the heavy metals and yeast. My body was at war with my mouth and I didn’t even know it! I never had mouth pain, nothing! Within 2 days all of my back pain went away, OMG! I go to the dentist regularly and at no point has any other dentist mentioned my mercury and how dangerous it is, there are so many studies showing a direct link to Dementia/Alzheimers for those with mercury in their mouth. Dr. Han and all the staff are so wonderful and I can’t thank them enough for what they do. You just can’t put a price on good health, it will cost you more in the end if you don’t take care of yourself. PS, my son had his first visit yesterday to look at wisdom teeth and guess what she found besides the wisdom teeth? One of his regular teeth grew in sideways and at NO time did any of his other dentist notice! He goes every 6 months and not a single dentist ever caught it… Thank you again Dr. Han, you are AMAZING!!!

Lotus Dental receives my highest recommendation. My tooth extraction preparing me for a ceramic implant was a wonderful experience all around. I appreciate the incredible skill, use of the latest technologies, and especially the very caring, even spiritual, approach that Dr. DeLong provides. First, Joey provided an excellent, comprehensive pre-surgical consultation that allayed all my concerns and answered all my questions. He made sure I would be completely ready for the procedure and I was never rushed. Then, prior to the actual procedure, he performed a 360 degree CT scan, reviewed the procedure details again, prepared my mouth for the dentist, and started my sedation — all handled perfectly, making any remaining stress and worry vanish. My two follow-up appointments with Dora were great, as she checked my healing and prepared me for the next steps. The office is warm and welcoming with all appointment and billing requests. "Holistic" is not just a word here, as Dr. DeLong's unique practice and caring for his patients flows through everyone in the office right into your own feeling of safety, confidence, and healing.

I have been coming to Lotus Dental for over 5 years. My experience has consistently been so positive. Dr. DeLong is up to date on the latest research and functional alternatives to dental care and truly cares for you. All the staff are super friendly. Today I had a crown placed and had the gift of having Joey as my dental assistant. I am so impressed with his knowledge; the care he provided; and his genuine kindness.
