As an older gentleman, I've had some less than stellar experiences with dentists and oral surgeons. Lowell Family Dental has restored my faith in dental professionals. From my informative and thoughtful consultation with leading implant specialist Dr. Gammas to his and Dr. Ishikura's impressive skills with their respective specialties, I couldn't be more pleased. The entire operation (including administrative staff, hygienists, and dental assistants) is top notch. All of them have been kind, thorough, and efficient. Highly recommended.
After visiting a nearby dentist, who told me that I would need multiple fillings and treatments in order to just get started with them, I was so relieved to visit Lowell Family Dental practice, and receive a much more level headed assessment of my teeth. Dr. Bowen and his amazing team performed technologically advanced 3D X rays (much more telling than what I had received at the prior dentist) to determine the relatively minimal treatment that I should follow, and even found something that had been completely missed by my previous dentist! Even still, he recommended a “wait and see” approach to that particular situation. Dr. Bowen suggested low cost means to try first before shelling out hundred of dollars for treatments, that he wasn’t sure I would need anyway. (Full disclosure, I take pretty great care of my teeth, brushing and flossing multiple times a day, but even if I didn’t, Dr. Bowen didn’t seem like someone who would judge me if I wasn’t so good about my teeth.) Dr. Bowen was thoughtful, attentive, listened to what I had to say, and was very reasonable and rational in his assessment. His entire team was kind, calm, and restored my faith in the Dental Arts. Bravo Dr. Bowen & team!

I have been with Lowell Family Dental over 15 years but haven't gone there since 2019. However, when my tooth was making my life miserable, I was easily accepted and accommodated for an appointment. But this is the best part, the day was almost over but they managed to help me removing my tooth so I can have a good sleep which I couldn't get for the past few days. Ioved to Boston since 2017 but I still kept them as my dentist. Always recommended.
