About Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics of Perring Parkway

Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics of Perring Parkway is a pediatric dental and orthodontic practice located at 8831 Satyr Hill Rd, Suite 200, in the Parkville area of northeast Baltimore, Maryland. The practice is part of the Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics network, which operates locations across the mid-Atlantic region with a focus on delivering dental and orthodontic care in environments designed with younger patients in mind.

Orthodontic services are a primary offering at this location. Orthodontic treatment for children and adolescents typically begins with an evaluation that includes clinical examination, X-rays, and digital photographs to assess tooth development, bite alignment, and jaw positioning. From this assessment, the orthodontist develops a treatment plan tailored to the individual patient’s alignment needs and growth stage.

In addition to orthodontics, the practice addresses the broader dental needs of children and teens. Preventive dental care, routine examinations, and early intervention for developing bite issues are important components of managing a child’s dental health from early school age through adolescence and into young adulthood. The coordination of orthodontic and general dental care in one practice simplifies care for families managing multiple children’s dental needs.

Families considering orthodontic treatment for their children are encouraged to contact the office for a consultation. Before beginning any orthodontic program, families should ask for a written treatment timeline and full cost estimate that covers all phases of treatment, including the appliance cost, adjustment visit fees, and the cost of retainers at the conclusion of active treatment. Understanding the total financial commitment upfront allows families to plan and budget appropriately.

The Satyr Hill Rd office is in the Parkville neighborhood of northeast Baltimore County, with parking available in the suite building lot. Parkville is accessible from the Beltway (I-695), Joppa Road, and Perring Pkwy, making this location reachable from Carney, Towson, Nottingham, and other northeast Baltimore communities.

The dentist and hygienist were both wonderful, professional, and extremely kind. They treated my daughter with care, and I truly appreciated the time the dentist took to review the x-rays and answer my questions. Unfortunately, our experience at the front desk was very different. When I arrived for my daughter’s appointment, before she had even been seen, the receptionist announced loudly that we needed to schedule an appointment to have her cavity filled. This was the first I had heard anything about a cavity, so I questioned it because no one had mentioned one during her previous visit. The receptionist continued to insist that my daughter had a cavity. I asked to see the x-rays before agreeing to any treatment. After reviewing them, the dentist confirmed that my daughter did not have any cavities. What concerns me most is that incorrect information about my daughter’s dental care was discussed loudly in the reception area where others could hear. Even in a pediatric dental office, staff should be mindful of protecting patients PHI by communicating treatment information as discreetly as reasonably possible and verifying information before discussing it with families. I am grateful for the professionalism and kindness shown by the dentist and hygienist. My hope is that the front office reviews its communication and verification practices so that future patients and families have the same positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.
