I have been going to Dr. Ortega for over two decades. And he delivers awesome service. This is the dentist you can trust.. I need to be sedated sometimes and sometimes not but when it is needed, it’s no problem. He always follows up with health checks after big procedures and if anything funky starts happening, he will get you in right away. I had a lot of dental trauma when I was younger and was deathly afraid of dentists but he took that all away! One thing about the staff is that they are very caring and on top of everything. If there is some problem with your insurance, they will fight for you. Love this place I urge you to come here if you have any kind of dental anxiety. Oh I forgot to mention towards the end of my procedure there was and earthquake!! Everyone remained calm took a few minutes to recover and then things went on as normal! The building was rockin, and they were literally rock stars about it!

Dr. Ortega is by far the most skilled Dentist in San Diego. I’d say the BEST in the West Coast.

"Heroic dentistry" that's what Dr. Ortega did today. Did another miracle crown lengthening to try to save a tooth in front so I wouldn't need an implant.

This place really is great especially if you have awful anxiety. From the first phone call with Jill who made things easy and she was so kind. The dental assistant was quick and got done what needed to be done. The dentist was honest, upfront, no judgement, quickly got to work fixing my tooth. But on top of it he was aware of my anxiety issues, checked on me a lot to make sure I was doing good and talked me through everything. I spent hours combing through San Diego dentists looking for ones who handled patients like myself but were also trustworthy and honest. This is the place to go. They are all nice, they all make you feel comfortable, the numbing didn't hurt and I just felt at ease which is almost impossible for me to feel at a dental office. If your nervous give this location a chance and get your smile back were you want it. I haven't gone to a dentist in 8-9 years due to dental trauma as a teenager and my teeth show it. I wish I had found this place sooner but we have to start somewhere. Follow up to my last appointment I had my permanent crown point on and it went perfectly. I was also experiencing high anxiety and the dentist as well had his dental assistant made me comfortable. I was in and out. I can't forget Jill who at every turn is kind and supportive always. Making it easy to make future appointments and just making you feel at home.

My experience with the entire office of Marcos Ortega was amazing. I called about 8:30 and arrived for my appointment by 9:30, seen by Dr Ortega and decided to proceed with a significant surgery. I was home by 11 and had an uneventful recovery thanks to his honesty, expertise and detailed instructions. Thank you for your kindness and expertise.

I love my hygienist, Denise, who is so kind and always a joy to be around! I have always appreciated Doctor Ortega's kindness over all these years. I have also felt the warm welcome in the office with everyone!
