About Mason & Mason Dentistry PA

Based on South Towne East Mall Drive in Wichita, Kansas, Mason & Mason Dentistry PA is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. great experience. appreciated the knowledgeable hygienist. Dr. Adam was wonderful. would love to have information to refer back to, like a visit summary with answers to the questions we asked, and which teeth we are "watching." Otherwise, it was an excellent experience. thank you for asking

DR. TED is Amazing. Instead of just pulling a tooth he is going to fix a cavity down by the roots. That's what he does always !

100% honesty-I hate the dentist but I adore Dr. Mason and all of his staff. The office was able to explain everything they were doing and made sure I was comfortable. Pricing is upfront with no surprises at the end. I would absolutely recommend this dentist and each and every one of his staff. Great hours and a nice location

I really don't like this dentist.. after several years of going my most recent visit confirmed why I do not like this office. We are moving and I planned to not go back anyways but I really don't appreciate the way I was spoken to each visit. I was heavily judged for not making regular 6 month visits. My whole life I've never had a cavity and take care of my teeth daily. When life happened and I had two children, I didn't visit for almost three years and I almost walked out before the cleaning started because the hygienist could not stop saying over and over how long it was since I visited strongly shaming me. Obviously I am already embarrassed about my lack of visits. I definitely do not appreciate the judgement and the harsh tones. I definitely won't be back to this office ever. I'd like to find a more friendly place that isn't so judgemental. This isn't the first time either. It's been every single visit even when I was going regularly. These are reasons people avoid the dentist. With such a well known place your staff should do better at making people feel welcome and comfortable during their care. I also want to say I think it's extremely unprofessional and inappropriate to hound my husband on every single visit about my scheduling and how long it's been since I visited. I guess that should have been my first clue to not go back. Lesson learned.

I definitely had a great experience. Nellie is one of the best hygienists I have had in all the years I have had dental work done. You are lucky to have her in your office staff.

What a happy experience I had at the dentist yesterday. I went for my annual check up on December 29. When Dr Coopenbarger was checking my teeth the tooth they had been watching for two years indeed had a cavity below the crown. I panicked because my dental benefits were changing. I would have to pay a percentage. Yikes. I asked if I could do it in the next two days. No go his schedule was packed, but if I could do after my cleaning he could make it happen!!! A small little Christmas miracle for me. I also enjoyed the wonderful fun Dr Adam and his assistant Kassandra had. Great team. Dr Ted has really built a great team. And did I say my crown was made while I waited. They are so far ahead on the tools they have for patients. Thanks

. My hygienist was thorough and professional. Cheyenne thee office manager was pleasantly courteous especially in completing my documentation. I appreciated her help due to shakiness from a recent medical event. So many people in the medical arena need to learn to "respect the patient". I have changed doctor's that need learn etiquette and ethics. Bless yall!
