About McMinnville Family Dental | Ken Wylie, DMD
McMinnville Family Dental | Ken Wylie, DMD provides dental care on Northeast 6th Street in McMinnville, Oregon. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.
A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns.
Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically. Great dentist i ever had in my life. Very nice and kind staff. Very helpful and good people. Thanks God. Thank you for helping me.
Great dentist Wylie is, but his business is run like absolute crap. The staff has scheduled my wife and son for cleanings at least 6 times over the past 12 months and cancelled 3 of those because they "don't have a hygienist" and the other 3 times they just waited for my wife and son to show up and then make them wait for 30 minutes until my wife asks what is going on...then they say you had the wrong time or day. Complete lack of respect for the time taken off work to be able to come to a dentist office. They have done this to others in our family as well, I would NOT ever go here again. Pathetic behavior and never any responsibility taken.
I was seen for a broken tooth and was able to be seen fairly quickly. Great experience, very kind, gentle and explains procedure and what to expect. The repaired tooth looked better than before it broke. Great experience.
Dr. Ken is one of the best Dentists I've seen in my 75 years. Very friendly and capable staff. Have never receive an after hours follow up call checking on my well being until now. Can't say enough good about McMinnville Family Dental.
Dr. Wylie and his staff are amazing! I am terrified of having someone dig around in my mouth not to mention having to have shots to numb my mouth up. BUT I could barely feel them! I was so relaxed during my procedure I could have taken a nap. If you or a family member are afraid of the dentist take your family here, their bedside manners are the best!
Dr. Wylie is a wonderful Dentist. His office is always very clean and inviting. His staff is always happy and welcoming. Dr Wylie is very informative and willing to explain what he is doing and why. He truly cares for his patients. He is wonderful with kids and makes them feel comfortable and not afraid. I have never felt more cared for by a dentist as I have with Dr. Wylie
These guys are wonderful! Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienist to Dr. Wylie truly make the experience enjoyable. They go out of their way to help you in an emergency and it really feels like they care. It's like having your family as your dentist. Normally I have difficulties getting numb for dental procedures. I had a root canal preformed recently and I honestly felt NO PAIN(!) during the procedure. My brother recommended them to me and I'm so glad he did! Now my whole family goes here and I recommend them to everyone!
