About ME Dental, San Francisco

ME Dental San Francisco occupies room 2307 on the twenty-third floor of 450 Sutter Street — a practice at the top of San Francisco's landmark medical and dental arts building in Union Square. The 450 Sutter building is a 1929 Mayan Revival terracotta tower that has housed dental and medical practitioners since its construction — one of the most recognisable professional buildings in downtown San Francisco. The practice is described as a small, close-knit, modern operation with a patient base built over more than a decade.

In a small close-knit practice at the twenty-third floor of 450 Sutter, appointment continuity with the same provider and staff is the norm rather than the exception. A patient who has maintained dental care at ME Dental for more than ten years has accumulated a clinical relationship — records, radiographic baselines, provider familiarity — that is structurally different from what a recently joined or rotating-provider corporate practice offers. In San Francisco's increasingly consolidated dental market, where corporate group practices have expanded across the city, a small independent practice with a stated commitment to personal care and long-term patient relationships occupies a distinct position.

Full mouth rehabilitation is listed alongside smile makeovers — a combination that characterises a practice oriented toward comprehensive aesthetic and functional treatment planning. Full mouth rehabilitation at the 450 Sutter address covers the multi-unit restorative reconstruction cases where crowns, bridges, implants, and occlusal redesign must be planned in sequence to achieve the functional and esthetic result. Smile makeovers design the full-smile appearance in advance of treatment rather than treating individual teeth in isolation.

Dental implants, dentures, and crown and bridge restorations cover the prosthetic and restorative range. Invisalign for adult alignment correction, teeth whitening, and veneers address the cosmetic demand of the Union Square and downtown San Francisco professional demographic. Scaling for periodontal maintenance and tooth decay treatment complete the preventive and restorative scope.

For Union Square, Financial District, and Nob Hill patients who want a long-established small cosmetic and restorative practice with full mouth rehabilitation capability in San Francisco's historic dental arts building, ME Dental's room 2307 at 450 Sutter Street provides that combination.

Here at ME Dental, we are dedicated in providing the best experience, care, and dental treatment to all our patients. With a patient base of at least 10 years old, located in the 23rd floor of the prestigious 450 Sutter Building, we strive to improve and care for the oral health of patients from San Francisco and around the Bay Area. We pride ourselves in being a small, modern, close knit practice that focuses on one on one patient centered care and making a positive influence in our patients’ l

Dr. Moran and her team are truly exceptional. The office has such a warm, family-like atmosphere, and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They are also incredibly accommodating with scheduling, which makes dental care so much easier. What I appreciate most is how involved Dr. Moran is in my care. Unlike many dental offices where you only see the dentist briefly, she takes the time to personally evaluate, explain, and discuss treatment options. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. She is also incredibly gentle. I’ve had extensive dental work, including extractions, and I’ve never experienced pain in her office. Her skill and bedside manner make even major procedures feel manageable. Dr. Moran’s knowledge extends far beyond one area of dentistry. She has a unique ability to explain how orthodontics, aesthetics, endodontics, and overall oral health all work together. Rather than focusing on just one specialty, she helps me understand my dental health as a whole. I genuinely enjoy coming to this office and couldn’t recommend Dr. Moran more highly. Before and after attached 😬

My experience with Dr. Olivia Moran and her assistant Christina was truly exceptional — the kind of care that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about going to the dentist. Dr. Moran is meticulous, highly skilled, and genuinely thorough. She took real time to explain what needed to be done, why, and what the long-term goals were for both the health and appearance of my teeth. I never felt rushed or pressured — I felt informed, involved, and genuinely cared for at every stage. Her attention to detail went far beyond the cosmetic work itself. After placing my veneers, she took additional X-rays to ensure no cement remained. She coordinated care with my other dentists regarding my implants, identified issues that had previously been missed, and made sure every aspect of my dental health was addressed comprehensively. What struck me most — beyond her exceptional skill, dental intelligence, and quiet confidence — was how gentle, patient, and reassuring she was throughout. I’ve had significant dental anxiety my whole life — but for the first time, I no longer dread the dentist’s chair. During longer appointments, I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep watching TV. That says everything. Christina was equally wonderful — warm, calming, and attentive from start to finish. The results exceeded my expectations. My smile looks beautiful, natural, and refined. The veneers and implant crowns don’t look bulky or artificial — they look like the best version of my own teeth. Dr. Moran has a real artist’s eye — she even documents her work with professional camera equipment, capturing stunning before-and-after photos that reflect just how much pride and passion she brings to every patient. Achieving something this elegant without it looking “done” is true artistry. I cannot recommend this office highly enough.

Couldn’t recommend Dr. Moran, Liz, and the whole team more! Have been going here for ~2 years and have never had a better dentist experience. Highly professional and personal. I recommend to all my friends and family.

I am so glad I found Dr. Moran to be my dentist after moving to San Francisco. I came to her for my cleanings and then had Invisalign to fix my bite and crooked bottom teeth. I have always had a gummy smile and Dr. Moran explained she could improve my smile with veneers. I was unsure if I wanted to have that done and took awhile to decide. I’m so glad that I did. One reason I decided to do it was because Dr. Moran was so knowledgeable explaining the process and was excited about how great my teeth would look. I am extremely happy with how they turned out. Dr. Moran checked on me throughout the process even texting to make sure I was having no issues. I LOVE my smile and feel more confident. Dr. Moran and her staff are top notch and are always so friendly, I feel like they are actually happy to see me. (Great acting ladies😉) But seriously they are great, and they work well as a team so you can feel that in the office!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Moran for several years now, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about her care. Most recently, Dr. Moran helped me address long-standing jaw issues related to teeth grinding and a collapsed bite. After careful evaluation and thoughtful discussion, we decided on veneers to restore proper bite height. The result has been genuinely life-changing. Chewing feels effortless now, and I experienced an immediate and lasting reduction in jaw tension and discomfort that I had been dealing with for years. What really sets Dr. Moran apart is not just her technical skill (which is exceptional), but the way she listens and explains things. She is incredibly thorough, meticulous, and detail-oriented, while also being warm, patient, and reassuring. I always feel heard, never rushed, and fully informed about my options. Dental work can be stressful, but Dr. Moran has a way of making the entire process feel calm and collaborative. I trust her completely and am extremely grateful for the care she’s provided. If you’re considering veneers or dealing with jaw pain or bite issues, I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Hands down the best dentist in SF! I have been living in SF for 10+ years and after many dentists I am so grateful to have found ME Dental. Olivia and her team are incredible, very thorough and do such a wonderful job. I have gone to her for everything including getting a crown, general cleanings and Invisalign. I feel so much more confident in my smile and never felt more beautiful on my wedding day!

This review is from one experience, I have not seen ME Dental for more than that. The cleaning was all super smooth and straightforward, no qualms there. The neutral review is only because Dr. Moran said that I had 2-3 (can't remember exact number) cavities that needed to be addressed, which subsequent dentists did not find. Personally, I have developed a habit of always getting 2nd/3rd opinions on dental work, because I take really good care of my teeth. So I went to a 2nd dentist with the same X-rays from this office, and they didn't see any cavities. About a year later, I went to a 3rd dentist following an insurance change for a routine checkup and they also looked at the image and didn't see any. (Nor did they mention it at the exam, in which they did a pano image, rather than more bitewings.) To be clear, I am not a dentist or any kind of science person and am not suggesting otherwise - I acknowledge that multiple professionals can come away with different diagnoses. As well, I am not writing this with any negative emotion - it's been about a year and I didn't get the cavity work done, so it didn't affect me back then either. I am simply sharing my singular experience in this regard. UPDATE => later the day after I posted the above review, Dr. Moran reached out. She clarified that this is her policy, in her words: "My philosophy is to address something when it is small and early to avoid future dental work that may be more intensive." And she helpfully annotated imaging that clarifies the diagnoses she stands by. I hope this is helpful for folks to evaluate whether or not approach might best align with your expectations. Also, forgot to add, a 4th dentist online commented that a clinical exam is also an important part of making a diagnoses, in conjunction with the X-ray. When this dentist looked at just the X-ray, said: "you probably need to do one onlay in 44, and maybe change a filling in 15 and 45." (Note, Dr. Moran further responded and said that this dentist is using a different numbering system, and 15 maps to #5 and 45 maps to #29, and 44 is #28, and an onlay is a 3/4 crown.)

I recently called ME Dental in San Francisco to help my mother in law schedule an appointment and learn more about their veneers and payment options and the experience was great from start to finish. The front desk staff was incredibly polite, professional, and knowledgeable, they took the time to walk me through every detail about veneers costs, the treatment process, and available flexible payment plans. My mother in law lives alone in SF and she’s been wanting to restore her smile and confidence for a long time. The team at ME Dental made me feel better, entrusting their care for her. They explained how Dr Olivia (I think that is her name) customizes each veneer case to match natural teeth perfectly. I felt reassured, respected, and well informed throughout the entire conversation. Thanks to their kindness and expertise, we will be scheduling an appointment with them to begin her smile makeover journey. It’s refreshing to find a dental offices now a days that truly goes above and beyond for their patients.
