About Mi Casa Dental - Houston, TX
Mi Casa Dental is a two-doctor family practice on Bissonnet Street in Southwest Houston (77074), led by Dr. Adriana Salinas (DDS) and Dr. Luis Ortega (DMD). The clinic serves Houston's southwest neighborhoods — Braes Timbers, Braeburn, Sharpstown, Meyerland, Chinatown, Westbury, Brays Oaks, and Bellaire — with bilingual English-and-Spanish staff. The practice positions itself around accessibility for families across the diverse southwest Houston community, with same-day appointments and Saturday availability for patients whose weekday schedules are tight.
For general and restorative care, the team handles exams, cleanings, and fillings alongside traditional braces, root canal treatment, dental crowns, and dental implants. Restorative work covers dentures and partial dentures, deep cleanings for periodontal needs, and tooth extractions including wisdom tooth removal. Children's dentistry runs alongside adult care, so the whole family can be seen at one practice. Cosmetic dentistry includes professional teeth whitening for in-office brightening. Bone grafting prepares the jaw for future implant placement when bone volume has been lost. TMJ treatment and emergency dentistry round out the in-house service mix, with the latter giving patients with sudden tooth pain a same-day option rather than a multi-day wait.
If you live in southwest Houston and want a bilingual family practice with same-day and Saturday appointments, this fits.
The clinic accepts most major dental insurance plus Medicaid United Healthcare, with payment plans for uninsured patients — a posture that suits the southwest Houston community's mix of insured and uninsured households. Dental X-rays and standard diagnostic equipment support the everyday workflow. Thank you so much, Dr. Salinas, for helping me smile with confidence again! I am incredibly grateful for your amazing care.
I had my wisdom tooth extracted and I am very satisfied with the service, with Dr. Salinas and all the nurses; I had no pain during the entire surgical process.
Update: For the last year, I’ve been considering switching dentists because it feels like the customer service has declined. From my appointments being moved without my knowledge or consent. I was so excited to be starting my braces journey, but 2 (almost 3) years, 1 gum surgery, and countless deep cleans, and the story is still the same. It feels like they want to charge my insurance as much as they can before actually putting braces on me. The last visit I had, I was told I would need a deep clean before I could actually get the braces. I told them no multiple times and they kept insisting. I just asked for my dental records, because I’m taking my business and care elsewhere. Been coming to Mi Casa Dental for almost 3 years and they are an amazing team. Everyone is so welcoming and attentive. I’m so glad I found them, and I’m about to start my adult braces journey with them. I’m very excited to see the end results!
They attended to me quickly, but they still treated me reluctantly, as if it were free, even though I was paying $150 a month for my retainers. I didn't go for a month, and they were telling me I had to pay for the month I missed. I feel it's unfair to pay for something they're not doing, and I never went back. High prices, bad service, I don't recommend it.
The only positive thing about this clinic is the main doctor, who is professional. Unfortunately, the management is very disappointing. The manager has a poor attitude and does not treat patients with respect. Appointments are never on time — there is always a delay. I also noticed my X-ray was overlapped and politely asked if it could be retaken. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the manager came into the room and told the assistant that I was “nobody” and that only the doctor could request a retake. She continued arguing instead of resolving the situation. I paid and left. Patients deserve respect and proper care. If you have the ability to choose another provider, I would encourage you to look elsewhere.
Very good experience, fast and personalized attention, very friendly assistants and Spanish is spoken. The doctors are very attentive and have a lot of experience.
My family has been seeing Dr. Salinas since 2018, and she is—quite simply—one of the kindest professionals in the field. Her office works with patients even when finances are an issue, which speaks volumes about her integrity and compassion. I once witnessed her stay late on a Saturday afternoon to help someone who came in with severe tooth pain. He was from out of town and explained that he had called around, but no one else would see him on a Saturday. Dr. Salinas took care of him without hesitation. Although office staff have changed over the years, the practice continues to run smoothly and efficiently. That consistency reflects strong leadership and genuine care. God bless you, Dr. Salinas, for remaining steadfast in your compassion and commitment to your patients.
