About Miami Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry

Miami Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry provides dental care on Southwest 56th Street in the West End area of Miami, Florida. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.

Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward. I had an excellent experience at this dental office. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and professional. The entire team made me feel comfortable and took the time to answer my questions and explain everything clearly. The doctor was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. It is clear that they are committed to providing high-quality care and making sure their patients feel confident and well informed. The staff was equally wonderful—kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The office is clean, modern, and very well organized, creating a positive and comfortable environment. I truly appreciate the outstanding service I received and highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional dental team. Thank you to the doctor and the entire staff for such a great experience!

Growing up in the 90s, I had some bad experiences at the dentist that left me avoiding dental work for years. Because of that, walking into a dental office has never been easy for me. Dr. Ryan Ziegler and Dr. Gonzalo Barrantes completely changed that. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns, and took great care of me throughout the entire process. The part that amazed me most was having my wisdom tooth removed and barely feeling a thing. I expected pain, swelling, and downtime, but I was back at work the very next day, talking normally with virtually no inflammation. The follow-up and attention they provide is outstanding. If you’ve been putting off dental work because of fear or bad past experiences like I did, don’t wait any longer. Call them. I only wish I had done it sooner.

My first experience at the clinic was excellent. For two years, I had been looking for a place to receive my dental treatment. Dr. Ziegler and Dr. Barrantes completed all of the work in just two days. They, along with the entire team of dental hygienists and assistants, were very professional and made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the process. The office manager also helped me secure financing through CareCredit. Overall, I have no complaints—only great things to say about my experience. I highly recommend them 100%.

My experience here has been very mediocre overall. Dr. Barrantes is great at what he does, but the overall patient experience has been disappointing. I was originally promised a temporary tooth, but after the implant procedure was done, I was told it was no longer a possibility. I ended up going 4 months without a tooth, and then after going in for the final impression, the wait was extended another month and a half. It’s been an extremely long process, especially considering how expensive everything is. I also had an exam done here because I’ve been dealing with a lot of sensitivity, but my concerns were never really addressed. It felt more focused on collecting payment for procedures than actually figuring out the issue. On top of that, the front desk staff often have an attitude, which makes the experience even more unpleasant.
