About Mid-Florida Endodontics - Lake Nona
Mid-Florida Endodontics - Lake Nona provides dental care on Wellness Way in Orlando, Florida. Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. I came in to get a root canel done it was done by dr C and yumi my experience was excellent, they were very attentive and made me feel comfortable, it wasn’t painful and I could tell that they made sure I left there with no problems with that tooth again over all my experience was awesome
Very professional and kind. I truly appreciate the service and recommend it.
Very good work by the Doctor and the assistant Yami
Thank you for helping me today! Last night I had the worst tooth pain of my life and was referred by my dentist to come here. They said drive right over since it’s an emergency I bet they will see you today. I went in and the front office staff were so kind and helpful and got me in to see Dr Berrios within an hour since I live an hour away. When I was taken back, his assistant made me feel so at ease as I was terrified about a root canal. She was a top notch assistant and really intuitive to what Dr Berrios needed. Dr Berrios was great, he was kind and intelligent and worked very fast but thoroughly. He made sure I had everything I needed to treat the infection and gave me instructions on what to do moving forward regarding a crown. I will be forever grateful to MFE for helping me in such a dire time of need and refer near and far to them!
This was the best experience I have had with a dental office. Dr C was amazing. He did excellent work for me. He is kind and very understanding. He explain what I needed why I needed it very well. His assistant Yami was wonderful too. She took good care of me and fun to talk too. The front office was very helpful and pleasant too. I recommend this dental office for anyone needing this service. Thank you for being so great!
I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after two visits, I felt it was important to share my experience. The endodontist and clinical staff were professional, but my interactions with the front desk receptionist left me feeling uncomfortable both times I visited. During my first appointment, I was paying with my husband's CareCredit card. I completely understood the need to verify that I had authorization to use it. My concern was not the verification itself, but the way it was handled. The tone, facial expressions, and body language made me feel judged and uncomfortable. I mentioned my concerns at that time because I believe in addressing issues directly, but my comments seemed to be dismissed. At my most recent visit, I mistakenly showed up on the wrong day because I had failed to update a rescheduled appointment on my calendar. As soon as the mistake was identified, I acknowledged that it was my error and told the receptionist it was no problem at all… I was happy to return on the correct date. What bothered me was that while speaking to a coworker in Spanish, she appeared visibly frustrated and used hand gestures, facial expressions, and a tone that made it seem as though I was arguing or complaining, which was not the case. I was calm, respectful, and had already accepted responsibility for the mistake. I was standing right there and could hear the conversation. Immediately afterward, she turned back to me and resumed speaking pleasantly. That contrast left me feeling uncomfortable and questioning whether the friendliness being shown to my face was genuine. I am not posting this review expecting a response or asking anyone to contact me. I already attempted to address my concerns privately after my first visit, and I felt they were brushed aside. I simply hope this feedback is taken seriously internally. The front desk is often the first impression patients have of an office, and unfortunately these interactions made me feel uncomfortable every time I walked through the door. I am sharing this experience for awareness and honest feedback, not to continue the conversation.
Dr. C and Yami were wonderful. They explained everything clearly and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the visit. Yami even went the extra mile by giving me a blanket, which I really appreciated. Dr. C consistently checked in with me, asking how I was doing and making sure I was comfortable. He has a very calm and reassuring presence.
I am terrified of going to the dentist. This was the best experience I have ever had. I have to say the whole office was very warm and welcoming. I saw Dr. Berrios for treatment. He was able to give me options as far as a treatment plan was concerned. Was very confident that he would be able to take care of everything. His manner was very calm and comforting. Best no pain shot I have ever had. His assistant Yami was phenomenal. She was very calming and great at her job. I went in for a consultation and was able to get treatment in the same day. I would highly recommend this practice
I was very nervous coming in for a root canal. From the consults to the treatment, everything was great! Thankfully, I had Dr. C and Yami! They were amazing and made me feel comfortable and at ease. The front desk is so friendly and welcoming. Overall great experience! Hopefully I never have to come back…but if I ever do need any Endodontic treatment, I will definitely be calling Dr. C!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
