Best dentist office

The hygenist had immaculate detail. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dentist was very professional.

If I could give zero stars I would. To begin, Extremely disappointing and misleading billing experience. I would not recommend this practice. Before scheduling my appointment, I specifically called the office to confirm that they accepted my MetLife PPO dental insurance. I was told that they did, and I was explicitly assured that if there were any reason my insurance would not cover the services, the office would let me know before I came in. Their website also indicates that they accept MetLife PPO. I also specifically asked about the cost of the services beforehand. During my appointment, the dental hygienist was supposed to inform me about an additional $395 charge but “forgot.” I was only informed about this charge when I went to check out. At that point, I was pressured to pay the $395 and was repeatedly assured that my dental insurance would cover 80–100% of the costs. I have now found out that the claim was submitted as out-of-network, despite my having specifically confirmed my insurance status with the office beforehand, and my insurance ultimately covered none of the $395. What is most frustrating is that I made a point of calling ahead specifically to avoid exactly this situation. Had I been told that the provider was out-of-network or that I could potentially be responsible for hundreds of dollars, I would not have proceeded with the treatment. Patients deserve accurate information about both insurance network status and out-of-pocket costs before treatment, not a surprise $395 charge at checkout followed by assurances that insurance will cover it when that turns out not to be the case. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and will be telling my friends, family, and anyone I know looking for a dentist not to use this practice. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker protection as well as the Better Business Bureau over these fraudulent and misleading practices.

They have 744 4.9 star reviews as I write this and so do I even need to say anything? I’m purely writing this review because this office is legitimately fantastic and I want them to know that I think that. They don’t even need the review. Nobody really enjoys going to the dentist, but honestly the staff and quality of this place is as close as it gets. I’ve seen numerous (at least 4 or 5) dental hygienists and even have seen the majority of dentists (due to my preferred scheduling in a few instances though primarily I see Dr. Mohan who is awesome). Zero misses. Everyone’s awesome. Great stuff.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Midtown Dental Group, Fashion District truly deserves one. From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The front desk staff was so kind, the hygienist who cleaned my teeth was gentle and explained everything, and the doctor was patient, caring, and made the whole experience stress-free.The office is very clean, organized, and has a calming atmosphere. You can tell the entire team genuinely cares about their patients.If you’ve been looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend giving them a try. I’m so glad I found this office, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had the best cleaning!!! My hygienist, Natalia was amazing. She was so gentle, patient and informative! Normally teeth cleanings can be painful for me but I had zero discomfort with Natalia and she was extremely thorough. Dr. Armstrong was extremely knowledgeable and thorough as well. Very excited to have found dental care team I enjoy seeing! Also the office itself is very clean and modern. The chairs massage your back throughout the appointment which was a really nice touch! I highly recommend both Natalia and Dr. Armstrong!

Great first experience

I’ve been coming here for five years and couldn’t be happier. The care is consistently excellent, the team are professional and welcoming, and I always feel well looked after. Highly recommend.
