About Midwest Dental

Based on Town Centre Drive in Eagan, Minnesota, Midwest Dental is a dental practice serving the area. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Cosmetic dentistry covers treatment aimed primarily at appearance — whitening, veneers, bonding, and reshaping among the more common options — for patients who are less concerned with a problem that hurts than with how their smile looks day to day. The right combination depends on what specifically you would like to change.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.

A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. The officer staff and doctors are AMAZING! Nikki and Carrie are wonderful and Dr. P was fabulous. My daughter loved Ms. Carrie and can’t stop raining about when she gets to “hangout with her again to do her jobs.”

Excellent experience. Was looking for a new dentist. Maria was awesome. Very gentle on my cleaning and at the end the dentist said I had beautiful teeth! What a great compliment! Everyone was very kind.

This is the first dentist who has never shamed me for a few crooked teeth and my scaring from my nervous biting. They were so easy to talk to and walked me through everything where I could understand what they were doing and why they were doing it. They used an odd tool though to initially clean my teeth that was like a water blaster or sonic tool? I'd never had it done before and it was really hot initially painful on my teeth. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Front desk are not friendly, changing or cancelling appointment based on patient availability they should consider… even after calling and informing they consider as no show and send letter. Doctors are good though.

Very shoddy business practices. During my visit, the dentist told the hygienist that I suddenly had multiple problem areas, claimed one of my fillings was “falling apart,” and told me I had two cavities in my back molars. This made little sense, especially since I’ve been flossing more consistently than ever and had not been told of any concerns at prior visits. What was especially concerning is that while the dentist thoroughly explained findings and even showed X-rays to the patient next to me, none of this was done for me. No X-rays were shown, and there was no explanation of where these supposed cavities were or what was wrong with the filling. It felt rushed and transactional, as if I was being seen as a source of revenue rather than a patient. I went elsewhere for a second opinion and, surprise, there were no areas of decay at all for it to be cavities. Additionally, the office is very pushy about fluoride treatments that insurance doesn’t cover. Now I’m receiving a $42 bill for something that was strongly encouraged without clear discussion of cost. Overall, the experience felt very money-driven and lacked transparency. I would recommend going elsewhere for dental care.

This is a dental clinic that provides excellent service and support along dental care. Assistance with scheduling, insurance and follow-up on appointments - was great. Dental care was also great- fully informed about procedures and involved in decision making. All the staff - front desk, hygienists, assistants and dentist - top notch.
